Ruger MK III vs Browning Buck Mark
Which do you prefer? Is one better quality/reliable than the other?

My Buckmark is probably the most "shot" gun I own. Perfectly reliable, easy to break down and clean, ejects gas out both sides, eats anything, etc. etc. etc. My kids, wife, everybody likes the Buckmark.
I even bought a second one for a red dot.

I had a Buckmark that I gave to my daughter in law because she said she liked it. It was a great gun and fun to shoot. I replaced it with a Ruger in the 22/45 configuration which is a good gun but not nearly as much fun to shoot as the Browning. If I was buying a new one I'd buy the Browning. BTW, my son divorced her and kept the gun. Good son.

I have the Ruger MkII and it is first rate. It is Capable of much better accuracy than I am.

I guess it depends who you ask. First I had the Ruger Mark II Government Target, a great shooter, but a bear to disassemble; Now I have the Buckmark, also a great shooter, easy to take apart.

I used to own a Ruger MkII Target. I loved it. My brother owned a Buckmark. He loved it. I think it's all in what you've owned before. Both are great guns. I'm not sure I would buy the MkIII though. And although I can't say for sure how hard it is to disassemble the Buckmark, the Ruger, at least the one I had, wasn't easy. I don't think you could go wrong with either gun.

They have a different grip angle. Get the one that feels better.

I've a had both and think highly of both, but prefer the Buckmark. I like the grip angle, controls, looks, and trigger on the BM better than the Ruger and it is a little easier to disassemble but I didn't think the Ruger was as hard to take down as a lot people say it is.

I've had a Ruger MKII and a MarkI Target, and didn't care for either one of them, so I got rid of both of them and bought a 4" K-22. I've been thinking about getting a Buckmark, just because.
I forget the all the reassembly steps of the Rugers but I do recall there is a point where it's better to turn the gun upside down to get things to fit right.

Both good pistols. Ruger has many more upgrade and accessory items available due to it's popularity. It is a tricky gun to field strip, but once learned, it's not that bad at all.
Buckmark seems a bit higher up on the workmanship scale and the grip angle more closely resembles that of the 1911.

I have a 22/45. It is a pleasure to shoot. Well over 50k rounds. I've heard they are not easy to take down and get back together.... guess I'll find out when/if there is a reason to . I've shot a few BM 22s... about on par with my S&W 22S, IMO.
