Ruger 10-22
The local Cabelas is having a sale on the "Last of the Ruger 10/22 stainless rifle". Surely they jest....or do you suppose they mean the "rifle" as opposed to the "carbine"? Any thoughts?

Interesting. I can't imagine what they mean by that.

I think the days of the Ruger stainless 10/22 with brushed aluminum receiver are long gone. The newer ones I have seen have more of a gray painted finish on the receiver - they are called a "matt finish", and some of the newer ones have a black receiver with a stainless barrel.

I find this very confusing. I think the Cabela's guns have a bright finish and the new ones will be matte as was mentioned.

The ruger 10/22 stainless with the 18.5 inch barrel, and the black synthetic checkered stock is no longer made.
There are still a few around.

I saw the same ad and wondered just what in heck (yes, we say "heck" in Utah ) they meant by that as well. My guess is its nothing more than hype, "get 'em while you can!"

10/22 RBD
Don't mean to hi-jack this thread, but has anyone seen or does anyone own the Ruger 10/22 RBD? It's supposed to have the ATI left-folding and telescoping stock on it. It's supposedly a Jerry's Sport Center exclusive. -Ed.

I would have thought that this would have been a good selling model. I notice that it's still on the website. I also notice that they won't let you order one from the website as you can with the other 10/22 models. Maybe they just haven't removed it yet.
