Newest Safe Queen...Python
Circa 1976 Python. Unfired, with box, papers, sight tool even the silica packs. It was supposed to be a 1965 build gun...but the seller didn't read the "Year of Production" serial number list correctly.
Still...how many NIB, unmolested Pythons have You seen lately? So she followed me home along with a neat shoulder holster and cleaning supplies. Even they were still like new. For $1200 I think I did OK.

That's a beauty Frank, and good score at 1200.
I traded a 586 for this one about 25 years ago. Electroless nickle, and still have the brown box and paperwork. The trigger is awesome on these guns.

Great score, indeed.
I hate to think about all the Pythons I could have bought over the years and didn't take them.

Here Ya go...
"This is my Range Report on my new 6" Python"....... It's a circa 1976 gun, original and unfired. The bluing is typical Colt Royal Blue with the fit and finish also to Colts standard of the day. I examined the gun for several minutes, wiped an oily patch through each cylinder and the bore. I chose RIG for a protectant. Wiping a very thin film over the entire gun. I took the paperwork and my sales receipt and stored those in a small zip lok that I placed between the styrafoam insert and the box.
The box fit nicely along the right side on the top shelf on my safe. I stacked 2" blued Colt Cobra box on top of this one, with my Colt Commander box next, then a Walther PPK/S box. I think they will all get along nicely until Christmas or New Years when I do my semi annual check.
End of report.
