Default First 1911 (Springer) many pics....

I thought long and hard about which should be my first 1911 before I came across this SA 1911 in a local shop about a month ago. So far I have only put 50 rnds through it but am liking it a lot.

I cleaned it up and took some pics of it - hope you enjoy:

I think you have made a wise decision. I have the same gun without some of the bells and whistles that you have on yours, and I love it. It is one of the best shooting .45s that I own. I am sure you will get a great many years of service from it.

The pics are outstanding. I like the burlap as the background. The textural contrast between the two really highlights the gun well!

Good luck with the new shooter.

Thumbs up

Well if those pictures don't make someone want one, I don't know what would! I really like the gun and the pics are outstanding.

WOW! Beautiful photography!

That must be the "loaded" model...very nice...I have the Springer stainless "Mil-Spec"...modified with a flat, checkered mainspring housing, trigger like yours and double-diamond Cocobolo grips with Wilson Combat Allen screws.

Changing the mainspring housing also eliminated the key lock...

Thanks for posting the sweet pics....
