Default Ranger DBBL 12Gauge Shotgun

Does anybody know who made the Ranger DBBL 12 gauge shotgun, I believe it is dated about 1915? Any info would help, I heard of so many makers but nobody is sure. Thanks, Bob

If it has an 'April 20, 1915' patent date on it, usually on the side of the frame,,,it's a Stevens mfg'r gun.
They made them with a number of different names on them for different retail outlets.

Seems like 'Ranger' was a house brand name of Sears Roebuck prior to WW2. Might be wrong on the Sears part but 'Ranger' is an often see store brand on early Stevens shotguns and .22 rifles.
Marlin made and marked some that way too, but they didn't make a SxS shotgun other than the LC Smith.

As 2152hq said, Ranger was a Sears brand and Stevens made some. Hunter Arms (who made the L.C. Smith) made some as well--it wasn't their sidelock Elsie but the boxlock Fulton.

'the okie gunsmith shop cross reference" says, "Ranger" was a Sears house brand made at various times by.
Savage
Fulton
Stevens
H&R
Winchester
Marlin
They don't list ser#'s or dates of mfg.
