Can someone tell me what a Colt Trooper Mark 111 22 caliber with 6 inch barrel, blue finish, original grips is worth? Gun look to be 99%.

I paid $600 for a 98% 4" a year ago. Folks on the Colt forum said it might be a tad high but not ridiculously so. That gun is the same physical size as the rest of the Troopers but it's drilled for .22, the cyl. and barrel (I know obviously). The point is it's extremely heavy. The 6" must be really extremely heavy. I traded mine.

Well FWIW a year old Blue Book lists:

$500 for 100% but drops to $350 for 98% and $225 for 95%

That's an awful big leeway so it looks like it's what ever the market will bare.

Still Running Against the Wind

I bought a 4" Trooper III in about 99+ condition about 2 years ago.

Showing it to a couple of dealers, they concurred that $600 then was a decent local deal on such condition.

I had a smith install lighter spring. I shoot it side-by-side with a 17-4 8 3/8" model, which I am able to hold for slightly tighter groups under 35 yards. Haven't shot paper beyond that.

I'm pleased with mine.
