Default Value question on Marlin 1894CL .32-20

In the process of catalogueing all my firearms (still after 8 months). A couple I can find no current info on other than BBOGV.
I have a minty 1894CL in .32-20 that I bought new in '91. Box, paperwork etc, been in the safe mostly probably 98% or better.
What would be a fair estimate of the value of this gun for insurance purposes? Im thinking around $750 in that condition, is that close?
I know these have become collectable after being discontinued, just not sure how collectable.
I've worked up some good handloads with this gun, a 115gGC at around 1300 that is just a tackdriving load and a few others, a really good little rifle.
Thanks for any help
RD

I think you are in the price range with everything included. I am a member of the marlin forum and that type of rifle is very popular.

Do you know if this would be a fair price for the run they made a couple of years ago? I have one I have been thinking of selling but wasn't sure what a fair price was.

Thanks

An acquaintance on another forum said he just bought a new one from a dealer for $600. He said the dealer had two more for sale. They were from a run done not very long ago. So price would depend on condition. But for insurance purposes it would be hard to prove any collector value.

The 32-20 and 25-20 are not discontinued models. They are just limited run versions. They will do more when they get settled down in their new plant. They are a bit popular among colectors. I know I would like to have one. But there are still a bunch of them out there. Tom.

I think the cowboy version of the 32.20's are worth more.
