Slipped over to the dark side a bit again...
Glock 33 cal .357 Sig,of all the glocks I've had and fooled with this is probably my favorite,I also like the idea behind the bottle necked pistol rounds-too bad it never caught on.

I have a G31 and a G32 and I like them both a lot. But you're going to find that G33 is nasty when you pull the trigger on a full-up factory load! Practice, practice, practice.

I gave that some thought after I put it on layaway in Sep.....but then I realized I shoot a snub .460 and find it tolerable so I'm not too worried over it.

Do you have a 10mm also? There is a nice used one at the LGS and I was thinking about it just for fun and pain.
I could convert my 40 Sigs over to 357 with a barrel change.
Let us know how it shoots.

Looks like a .357 version of my mod.27 40-SW should be quite tollerable.

I like the .357 SIG round, and I love Glocks. One of my favorites is a G31. One of these days I'll pick up a G32, I nearly traded for one last year, but we just couldn't come to terms.

Shot it yet??reports??
My Sig p229 is at this moment set up with the 357 Sig barrel. That gun is substantialy heavier that that Glock, and it still packs quite a recoil. I'll be interested to hear about that plastic guns recoil.

I to have had a slip over to the Dark Side. A Dark side of a different Breed. Sig Sauer P220 Carry. It's a little Snappy in the recoil (Especially with +P .45 ammo). I love it! Shoots very well and it fits my Blacksmithing Hand!

Nothing wrong with bottle necked pistol rounds! Heck even I've been known to run a Tokarev in 7.62x25 from time to time! Neat little blaster!

We just got new sidearms & holsters. Department-issued, instead of officer-purchased. They're Glock 23, Gen.4. I'll miss the .45 I was carrying, and I've never been a real fan of the Glock or of the .40 S&W round. But... I had to qualify today, and I have to say it's not a bad set-up. This was my first morning with the Glock (other than test firing one in 1989), and I qualified with a 99%. Still not my gun of choice, but it will do handsomely I think.

I don't think I can get away with going outside and firing a mag off out here-the folks on the hill I live on might get jumpy!
No big deal,I hate to waste ammo anyway so for now I'll probably just fire one shot and see what it's like, and get to a range later.
And I'm serious,I never like to shoot at just paper,if I go hot I want to need to shoot....even that way with .22's

I've had a few Glocks,a 21 that I used from '98 to around '05,then I had a 17 that dated back to '88 but for various reasons I traded them off.
The newer ones are,to me,better then the old ones the main thing being the mags.
Thinking of getting a new 17 to keep around for 9MM use....

I have a g22 with a barsto 357sig barrel. My fav carry piece is a Sig 239 357.
The 357 sig and 10mm have some common virtues, power and size plus accuracy. Neither really caught on in a big way despite the fact they kick the pants off the 40 S&W. That's just my opinion, plus a heck of a lot of other gun nuts.

I am not a Glock fan (no offense) but I do have a Sig 229 40/357. I have not found the recoil to be an issue with the 357. I think the 40 has a little more snap. I WILL say the 357 is one LOUD little SOB though!!
I love bottleneck pistol rounds and I have a 400 Corbon barrel for the Wife's Colt Commander...kind of a 357 Sig on steroids.

Recoill shouldn't be an issue with the little Sig round. Only once I have shot a 1006 and the g22/357 sig in the same session and rough guess is the 10mm bucked 50% or so more, in any case it was quite noticeable.
Both are easily managed, no prob.

Ok so I took it out back and fired off a couple of shots~the thing recoils like a 9MM I could shoot it all day and not have a problem!
Nice gun,as always it just works like any other Glock I've had.
