Default North American Arms Mini-Breaktop (Ranger)

North American Arms

A brand new breaktop! Neato! Not exactly the type I could use but I sure think the design is very cool. I have a NAA mini .22 revolver that was my dad's. It's fun but loading and unloading it is a pain the butt. This new breaktop sure would much easier to load and unload.

I love my old S&W breaktops and they're so plentiful there's really no need to bring back a new version. BUT....

I can imagine a S&W Double Action made out of stainless steel (highly polished to a bright finish) with real sights and a 3 1/2" barrel. Chambered in .38 S&W with Hornady Critical Defense ammunition would be very interesting. I've found that an old Pachmayr grip adaptor on a S&W breaktop makes the grip much more natural too.

A cased set with interchangeable .22 long rifle barrel and cylinder too, now that would really be the set up for those who love breaktops. Most probably way to expensive to produce and sell. And still not much of a market because any .38 Special revolver can do a better job that a breaktop, but I still like 'em!

Oh yeah, quite a few people collect NAA Arms mini's. There are a multitude of "Limited editions" and those who collect them (yes me included) haven't the slightist intrest in whether they are of any practical use.

Knock the price down a notch, and include a 22lr cyl and you have a winner.
