To each his own, I guess, but I would chose pretty. The gun is beautiful either way.

Thanks...it's my IDPA shooter, so pretty takes a back seat.

I've passed the Spegels on to another who appreciates "pretty".

Great looking Colt, and I like those VZs! I've got them on a few of my 1911s, including some slim VZs on my carry Defender, they work great. I still keep my pretty wood panels, for those 'special occasions.'

I love the look of wood panels on 1911s, but those VZs really work great.
