Very nice. I will someday have one to proudly show too...if my uncle ever relinquishes our family gun to me. It's been promised for over 30 years, I get to fondle it on occasion, but just don't have it in my safe yet

Very nice 021. Have to admit it's my favorite of rifles. Love the style of the receiver.

I don't have an 1873, though I do have its older brother, an 1866.

But my son Sean has an Uberti 1873 in 44-40. Here he is shooting it at Big Sandy. Kinda funny taking an old west lever gun to a machinegun shoot, but it got a pretty good amount of attention because it was "different".

His Uberti kept having problems with the lifter springs jamming and gouging. He installed a replacement set from Smith Shop and that solved the problems.

An 1887 production 1873 38-40, had to get way back in the safe to get it out. 28" octagon barrel and set trigger were special order.

Now I'm feeling really bad. Back in 1982 I bought an 1873 in 38-40 and two 1892's (a 25-20 and a 32-20) from a collection for $200 each. By 1995 I had sold every one of them. I really regret that.

Bummer Doc. Am sure they would go for many times that now. I know the 1873 repro is going for big bucks. They sure sound nice though.

I sorry that I don't have a picture to post. Mine is a Ubirti in 44 special with an action job and a semi-short stroke kit. To cycle the action, just flick your ring finger and pinky out and return!

I pocked it up used at a SASS shoot, about 8 or 9 years ago.

Ivan
