Default 1987 Remington 870 Blued with wood

Picked this up on Gunbroker last week.
Remington 870 Blued with wood stock, a gun always wanted
Has a Tex Shoemaker leather shell carrier attached to the butt.
Pretty good shape.
Barrel code is OH for 1987..

I find myself wanting older firearms over newer models.

I like that one. I also agree about the older firearms. Except for pure utility guns like Glocks, the Shield .45, and the new Mossberg Shockwave 590, I can't think of too many new guns that even interest me.

That's a neat old shotgun. Was it police issue? The leather rack number on the grip is interesting......

Love it! Something about an older pump shotgun with wood furniture that I love!

Not to bash Remington, but in my experience, the older stuff is more better.

Like it. S&W Model 10's and Remington Model 870's were what we carried on patrol in the 1970's and 1980's. Tools of the trade back in the day.

Nice !!
Talk about a street sweeper. The 870 is iconic.
I've owned a number thru the years.

Have fun with that one.

You can't beat an old Model 870 in my opinion. They're built as stout as a brick shipyard, and when one is used in self-defense, everybody knows you mean business.

Here's my old 870 Trap model that I put a shorter barrel on for home defense. Like I said, they're great guns. Congrats on yours.

Congratulations on the find. I love older WingMaster 870's. Here's one before and after I refinished it.

Default Awesome!

That is an awesome 870. Here is mine from the early 1980's. Had the barrel cut to 20" and a Polychoke installed. My truck gun.

I love 870's, still have two. Here's a '74 Ducks Unlimited "dinner gun":

Boy, Cocked & Locked, I looked for one of those for a long time before I quit buying guns. Very nice, I'm jealous.

I remember SmithNut posting a picture years ago of a bunch of used ones he had purchased over time. Yet, I don't know what I had for breakfast yesterday.

Quit buying guns Bullet Bob? I've done that several times in my 73 years!
