Charter Arms 44
Picked up a Son-of Sam Saturday Night Special in stainless form today. Wanted a small gun just for 44 shotshells. My 29s are like a boat anchor for my wants for using shot. Local chain has them on sale for $350.
I get to have it on the tenth of May.

Great little guns for what they are. I have 3 of them an old orignal 3'' blue and 2 of the blue pug models with the bobbed hammers.
Nice large bore carry pieces. Midway has speed strips for them now. Great for spare ammo and not as bulky as the speed loaders.

I was issued one as a back-up years ago. Shot OK.
I tried the Skeeter load in it-7.rgrains of Unique over a 250 grain Keith semi-wadcutter. The revolver handled it fine; my hand, not so fine.

In spite of having only S&W revolvers all these years, and a Redhawk and Security Six Rugers that I no longer have, I always wanted one of these but never got around to getting one. I look forward to getting this home.

?? 2" or less groups at 25 yards documented numerous times is acceptable to me for a gun that inexpensive. I wouldnt expect 629 accuracy out of one.

I've had several of these delightful little heavy hiters, including an original Bulldog. The one I currently own is a "Target Bulldog" with 4 inch barrel, and like the rest of the breed it's a good shooter, although I prefer the 2.5 or original 3 inch barrel for carry purposes.
They're plenty accurate for their inteded purposes, and I like the 200gr. Gold Dot for defense use. Dale
