The 1894C is the ultimate bumming around rifle. Reloading components are cheap. You can load cast to full power. Straight wall case so ammo falls out of a progressive press 400 - 500 an hour. Easy on the shoulder, but still plenty of power to take medium game...

Great cartridge in a short lever action. I have an old Marlin 1889 in 32 20 and recently a Win 92 in 25 20 but both are bottleneck and although I like'em, that 357 is a much easier and more efficient cartridge, Enjoy. When I saw the thread I thought it would be about an 83/8" 357
