I've been thinking I "needed" a M1894C for quite a while. Heck, it fits right in with my reloading.

This is a FUN little carbine. And believe it or not the trigger is pretty nice to boot!

It's gonna get some range time. Don't know but...I may just whack a deer with it this fall...my farm is real conclusive to short range hunting.

Bob

The 1894C is the ultimate bumming around rifle. Reloading components are cheap. You can load cast to full power. Straight wall case so ammo falls out of a progressive press 400 - 500 an hour. Easy on the shoulder, but still plenty of power to take medium game...

Yep. The ultimate bumming around rifle. Good choice.

Great cartridge in a short lever action. I have an old Marlin 1889 in 32 20 and recently a Win 92 in 25 20 but both are bottleneck and although I like'em, that 357 is a much easier and more efficient cartridge, Enjoy. When I saw the thread I thought it would be about an 83/8" 357
