I had a Rossi 720 standard model many years ago. Good shooter, comfortable to carry with a good holster. Carried it for many years doing armed security work. Like a fool, I sold or traded it for something I probably didn't need. Wish I could find another! Much sturdier than the Charter Arms Bulldog.

I have one. Bought it when they first came out....Did a round count to see when it would die...Stopped counting at 740 rds.. It preceeded the 696 by a year or two. Bought the 696 when it first came out too. Still have both......Good guns!

I have a M971 - same frame with a slightly shorter barrel and 6-shot 357 cylinder.
I took it to a range cleanup/shooting event last year and a buddy of mine shot it a couple of times and asked incredulously...
"That's a Rossi? Who did the trigger job?"
He could hardly believe it when I told him it hadn't had a trigger job as far as I know.
I also have a Rossi 44102 - a more modern 2-1/2" blued 5-shot 4 magnum. It is almost as slick and smooth as the old M971.
Never have figured out why the haters hate the Rossis. They seem to be good guns and their prices are quite attractive. That amounts to good value IMO. Maybe I've just been lucky?

I had one and after shooting it a couple of times got rid of it. It would dry fire smooth as silk, but locked up at a certain part when the cylinder rotated with live rounds. Tried everything to get it to keep from locking up. The problem only happened when you would shoot it, otherwise it was silky smooth. Sold it and made a decent profit. Hope you didn't pay too much for it, but there seems to be a following for the M720?
