Default Ruger Single Six, Another Lawrenceville GS Find

This 1960 Single Six is a 3 screw, unmodified with firing pin block gun, It has the desirable early 4 5/8" barrel. This variation only came with the .22 LR cylinder, SN: 153xxx. The guy said he had 3 of them and was thinning out his collection.

I found one at Forest Park Army-Navy a couple of years ago although mine had a small bit of rust, not near as nice as yours.

I hope I never find out how much money I have spent in there. LOL The problem is they are less than a mile from my house and I drive by there all the time.

A 4-5/8 barrel, interesting. Congratulations. Those Ruger 22lr Single
Six's are a Great Revolver. Very Reliable. Very Accurate.

Thanks for sharing and picture.

Ruger Single Six's Forever!

Default Wonderful Ruger!

I picked up a 6" barreled Single Six a couple of weeks ago. Looking a .22 mag cylinder now.

Smile Gates

Yes the 1956 Ruger Single Six 22lr has the Flatgate. Barrel is
5-3/8" long.

It is a clean stock example, has been used not abused, has
honest wear, and has always been well taken care of. Grips are
still black. It is in the Revolver Range Rotation, shot every so
often, and proves very accurate.

1956 has not seen it's Holster in 12 years and probably never
see a Holster again. I have the Original Blk/red box and
Owner's Manual.

There was another one similar to this gun for sale at the show. Asking price was $795. I got this for much less. In the 4's, but that is considered a real good deal around here. The modified guns lose a little collector value. Just don't drop it on a loaded chamber.

I can’t remember the exact year but this is a late 50’s 22 mag that I acquired a few years ago

Edit - it’s a first year 1959 mag
