Default 1911 Long Slide pic thread

Don`t recall ever seeing a long slide pic thread.
Anyone else out there have any?

A couple of Springfield long slides.
An Omega 10mm and a V-16 .45 Super.

I have a couple that I built. I really like the 6 inchers. I will try to post some pics later.

My brother has a Harball long slide, his second I think. They can be great shooters or aggravating piles of demon possessed metal. His first Harballer was like that. Give it to my son to walk around and sell it a a large gun show. About 2 hours later he hunts my brother down and gives it to him and tells him he is tired of getting laughed at. Can't remember who the lucky guy was that gor that one. The one he has now is one more shootin machine. He shot a metal popper at 135 yards with it and slammed it down hard. The longer barrel aids sighting and maximizes velocity in that short stubby case.

I have an AMT Long Slide Hardballer at home in the safe - NIB. Still has the hang tags attached. Bought it back when AMT went out of business & stuffed it in the safe for future use, but as yet, I haven't gotten around to it....... (to many other irons on the fire, grandkids, guns that need fixing, etc.)
