What's better than a 1950's Winchester?

I have a 1954 Model 94 (old as me) and an early 50s Model 69A Target Model with the #80A aperture sight that I bought almost NIB from an antique store of all places (practically a steal, actually).
Sure wish I had a Model 21 from that era! A 16ga, with double triggers, would do nicely I think.

A 1940's Winchester?
I have several from 1890 to 1910. Worn, old shooters but have unknown stories waiting to emerge!

Add a pre-24 Smith to that pair and you have a perfect trio.
Those two old Winchesters are wonderful.

Winchesters are my favorite long guns. I own a dozzen or so, none newer than the 1950s. Here is a 1952 model 64 and a model 63 made in 1958 at the very end of production. Both have only a few rounds through them.

Also have a model 94 from early 50's that I love to shoot. I'd take her out more often but as I get older it takes longer for my shoulder to recover after a trip to the field.
Still kicking myself for not buying a few more of the several hundred guns sold by an estate at local auction over the past 3 months. Several Winchester .22 slide action model 1890 and semi auto model 63's. Also several Win shotguns like model 1897 and model 10's. This past weekend they sold a Win. model 36 single shot 9mm shotgun. You don't see those every day.
Anyway, back to the model 94's, the estate sold several of these and prices ranged from $300 in well used condition to $450 in good to very good condition. I think it was a case of everyone around here already has one and there were too many other interesting guns for the buyers to spend their money on.

Here is a 94 I also bought new around 1956. I added the foolproof and pad for extra LOP right away. I shot it off the bench last year and it is still accurate and I have never had to resight it in!

Winchesters rock. My first Winchester was a 1926 .38 WCF that belonged to my grandfather. He traded a cow/calf for it so he would have a rifle to take to Mexico for deer hunting. The rifle has a bone insert in the front site. I've never seen another like it.

Nothing like going back to the Steel and Walnut Era.

Here are my four Winchesters; only one of them is as late as the 1950s, though. From left to right: Model 52 sporter; 'Winder Musket' in 22 short; Model 1895 Winchester Lee Navy in 6mm; Winchester Lee sporting rifle also in 6mm.
