High Standard Sentinel Mk II .357
Hi:
Did High Standard manufacture this revolver?
This model looks a lot like a "Dan Wesson"?
Thanks,
Jimmy

Yep, made by High Standard, usually well regarded as a quality product.

They were made by Wesson but marketed by HS. I had one and it was a first rate revolver.

I'd forgotten about those...I remember wanting one back in the late 70s.

Just bought one. Nice revolver. The numbers on this one say the manufacture year was 76. The research I did said it was designed by Dan Wesson for Sentinel Arms as a kind of department store seller. Very strong, shoots great.
If your interested.

Memory says those were indeed Dan Wessons. I think HS did make the Crusaders though.

HS MK II and MK III revolvers were rebranded Dan Wesson .357 Magnum revolvers, sold from 1973 - 1975.

I found out my Mark ll was made in 74 so I correct my earlier post. I took it out to fire some test loads as it is built like a tank. I was again impressed with the accuracy and smooth double action shooting. This is a most impressive piece at half the cost. Just not as clean looking as my model 19.
