Lee Ermy Night Stand Gun is not a Glock
You know the guy that is always holding that Glock, I heard him on a radio interview today.
He said the first thing he did before he went to bed, was to unlock his safe, grab his .357 Mag Revolver, then he could rest easy.
Stated that his wife would put some hurt on you with a 9mm semi, just assume that it is a glock.

Eh, he's an okay guy. He always makes time to talk with young Marines and other service members. My wife met him at Quantico where he greeted her as "Doc" since she is a corpsman.

You're right; that's what he said. Maybe he has more than one bedside gun, since he does mention his wife having the 9mm. Or perhaps he actually doesn't own any guns. All I know for sure about him is that he is a spokesman for Glock

He is a paid spokesman. Sig could pay me x amount of money per anum to talk up their product, but i would still turn to my 1911s or my 686 for self defense.

I like the guy. Gunny can carry whatever he wants, or promote whatever he wants, and it would be fine by me. He's earned the right.
Hoo Rah Gunny !!!!!

If you ever need to teach someone how to swear in a very intimidating manner reach for the DVD's of Full Metal Jacket and The Boys' From Company C !. Out Bleeping Standing!!
He is a very interesting character and has done much for the welfare of our Armed Services and The shooting sports, so if he is a paid endorser for the Block, er' Glock so what. At least he's not hawking reverse mortgages like former Senator and actor Fred Dalton Thompson.

If "Gunny" said he carried a 357 Magnun, Glock revolver, it would be ok with me.

He visited our son's outfit in Iraq a few years ago, spent time with them, talked with them, ate MRE's with them just like a regular jarhead.
He has a pic taken with RL and his squad, proud of it.

He is a nice guy. I have had the opportunity to talk with him a couple of times at the Show of Shows in Louisville, KY.
One thing that greatly impressed me was that he always took time with kids. He would make the time to come out from around his table so that folks could take their kids photo with him. Very few celebrities either on the screen or in sports will do that and look like they are enjoying it the way he does.

He was medically discharged in 1972, as a Staff Sergeant (E-6).
On May 17, 2002, Ermy received an honorary promotion to Gunnery Sergeant (E-7) from the Commandant of the Marine Corps. It was in recognition of his continued support to Americans in military service.

Funny that you should mention glock. I say the word glock sometimes but only because glock is a favorite topic of this forum. Glock really is? Don't you think glock is?
