Glock 26 Gen4
I'd been looking for a sub-compact 9 to fill a niche in my collection. I used to own a G17 & G19. I sold them because they didn't fit me just right. I passed over Glock pistols in my search for a sub-compact 9mm.
I couldn't find one that felt just right. Out of frustration I asked to hold the last compact in the store I didn't try out: a G26 Gen4. To my utter surprise, it felt right. I really wanted to like the S&W M&P 9c, but it just wasn't meant to be.
I am a member of the GSSF. This one was purchased via the discount program which was a real bonus for me.
The one thing I do give to Glock over most other guns is it's simple, efficient design makes it very user serviceable. I reached into my spare parts bin and did some work to it.
- 25¢ polish job
- "-" connector
- Increased power trigger spring
- Slightly lighter striker spring
- Slightly lighter FP block spring
- Smooth face trigger / trigger bar assembly from a G17 Gen4
- Extended slide stop lever
- Marine spring cups
This set up is for range use only. When IL finally enacts a CCW law and if I decide to carry it, a NY1 trigger spring is going in it.

My Wife is getting a PK380 and I just bought an M&P 9c to be a match for my M&P 40c. I like 2 caliber a in the same gun. This is my 3rd pair: XDm, Walther PPS, and now the M&P compact.
It's good to have the choice and the Wife can easily handle the 9mm variants.

I picked up my newest toy Saturday. A NIB 1975 Colt GCNM. When I got it home and did a full disassembly, I found that the sear and disco had been cannibalized and replaced with a fairly beat disco and a bashed to hell sear... The sear spring was bent all crazy to keep the sear from falling off the trigger hooks. The sear has actually been peened to lengthen it!
That's what I get for buying somebody's "Safe Queen". All the externally visible surfaces and parts were immaculate. The rot was all inside. See pics.

Last year I built a DPMS lower and put a CMMG 22lr upper on it. I thought it might be good for shooting ARs a bit cheaper and found it a favorite gun to shoot. My ARS haven't been shot since. I found CCI AR Tactical ammo works real well in it and other bulk ammo was pretty decent too with some problems to function correctly.
Once 5.56 ammo becomes available and hopefully affordable that might change but the little 22 is a good substitute for now.
Since my S&W collection is somewhat complete I have spent the last couple of years building and playing with ARs.

I got an M&P 15-22 on Sunday, I have been using a conversion kit on my 5.56 but it never felt "right", I just got back from the range after shooting the 15-22 for the first time, now I'm going to put the conversion kit up for sale somewhere, there is just no comparison to a dedicated rifle. No jams, I even ran a few mags of the "non recommended" ammo through it, never even noticed. Lots O' fun

In the past year, I acquired a Ruger Single Six .22 LR with fixed sights for plinking, a Ruger LC9 for the wife's carry, and most recently a S&W 642 for my own backup concealed carry. Today, I installed an Apex Tactical Duty/Carry Kit in the 642, and the trigger pull measures 9.15 lbs.

This is an enjoyable thread. I like to see others aquisitions.
Here's a couple of mine.
While I'm not sure if paint is an accessory, here's my AR before and after the work I had done on it.
Also one of my new interest in old military guns.7.65X53 Argentine Mauser. Artillery or Engineer model depending on whom you ask. Gun is dated 1891 and shoots great.

Picked up three at the Ft Worth gun show last weekend. First is a somewhat ratty Wartime Commercial Broomhandle. Has two saving graces: first the bore is good, second, it has a German Army acceptance stamp on it. Apparently the German Army took in about 40,000 of these, even though in 7.63mm caliber, due to their extreme need for pistols.
The second is an engraved Llama 380. Looks almost new. I've fired it, although I won't do that too much. It looked great in the show: on the pegboard in my gun room, among my dull blued and parkerized guns, it almost stands up and bites you; somewhat gaudy.
Will post on the third one later. See thread "It's Not Going Anywhere Again".

No rail 3913TSW, 4 15 round 59xx magazines, holographic sight for one of my ARs, a Gun Tool, and I got an email today that my York Arms AR15 lower has shipped and will be here Wednesday.
It's been a good month for a year in which I hadn't planned on any gun purchases.

Sent off payment today for 65# of smelted range lead. Storing stuff away for the inevetable "Public Safety Tax" here in Kalifornistan. The antis have a supermajority in the legislature and they've figured out a handy way around that pesky COTUS.
So I have about 160# of lead & solder so far. Need to start getting some casting gear soon...

These are my latest two acquisitions; a .223 Arsenal SLR-106 w/Rakurs-A optical sight, and a milled Yugoslavian M70 AK47 built on an ORF receiver.

M&P15 Sport with 1 in 8 5R barrel and a few extras - Troy VTAC 15" rail, Troy HK sights, JP adjustable gas block, Miculek muzzle brake, and Hogue grip.
Waiting for new BCM charging handle to come in.

well, depends on definition of "bought".
I (hopefully) will be picking up a 3-screw Blackhawk in 357 today that came in on a trade.
I also have a martially marked, 1911 from 1917 or 1918 on layaway.
No pics yet.
