I rented the Scorpion today and I'm just not sold on it for the price. (I have a Kel-Tec sub 2000 and a Hi-Point). I really wanted to like it and would have traded the Kel-Tec if the deal was right.

I will say it is a cool looking gun though..

I missed three here on the forum and a couple more on other sites before finding this one on Armslist.

The gun was F-I-L-T-H-Y but I scored it for $535 total, shipped with the original hinged lid box. My receiving FFL cleaned it up for me and I put a set of 1970's vintage Herrett's Shooting Star grips I got for $40 of flea bay, then stripped and refinished. I will be giving the revolver to my wife later today as her 11th wedding anniversary present.

Cell phone pic of the Model 63, cleaned up and wearing the Herrett's grips.
Nice gun, & stocks! I have a warm spot for Herretts. Have bought 2 sets in the last few months. K round, and K square. Both close to perfect, and both under $40. Yes, ebay! Bob

Police Trade-In M&P40, two magazines, night sights on Thursday. Also received the S&W 357Sig drop in barrel and three extra magazines yesterday.

I had gotten a Ruger NV in .357 Mag a while ago for $325 that had a broken grip panel and finally decided on what grips I had wanted.

I ordered the Altamonts last week, $34.10 with shipping. The fit was poor; there was a gap to the frame since they missed a relief cut for the mainspring housing. I cut that with a Dremel and as a result have well fitting and good looking grips on a budget now.

Man, those Rigby's in #544 above are fantastic!

My latest gizmo is an elevated rifle scope mount. I ran out of adjustment beyond 900 yards with my 'flat' mount, so I bought a Warne 20 MOA mount. After re-zero at 100 yards, I can now go to 1500 yards before running out of adjustment. Well, my ammo runs out of steam (goes subsonic) past 1200, so I wont need it all.

Picked up a Rossi m92, pre-lock, pre-Taurus. Minty condition, but will need to slick it up and probably refinish the wood with some tung oil.

Default Unexpected Find

An unexpected find for an excellent price!

32 series Korth in .22 l.r., made in 1980.

***
I took it to the range three times so far and adjusted the sights and the trigger return and put some other grips on, now I do well with it at 25 meters! 265 out of 300 on the UIT target is all an old man with declining eyesight can hope for.

I fought the urge to rid my 629 of it's lock long enough. Now, I need to figure a way to fill the slot left by the flag removal since I want to keep the flag in tact should I need to reinstall the lock.

An ANIB S&W 360J Airweight with all papers and 5 snapcaps.

It's my first Scandium revolver and my first Smith with a lock.

A friend of mine bought it for his wife, she didn't like to fire it because of the recoil. It has only had 10 rounds fired through it.

I wasn't looking for one but he offered it to me for $300.

I made a couple of trades in the past couple of months, ending up with a new Ruger 4-3/4" barrel MK III .22, which is similar to the old Ruger Standard my dad taught all us kids to shoot back in the day. His Standard resides in my brother's safe, but now I can relive my youth. It shoots as good as I remember the older model did.

The other is a CZ Sharptail SxS 20 ga.that had been sitting on a shelf in the LGS. I got a reasonable deal on a trade in of a Ruger All American .22 LR that sat collecting dust.
Sorry no pics.

Bought a SilencerCo Spectre II, now just have to wait for the stamp to be returned. Waiting on two now, and I think that's the worst. Finding another tax item while still waiting for the one you filed months ago for.

My FFL suggested I use Silencer Shop to do the transfer. Not sure I'm a fan of that system, we will see how it goes. I guess I'm too used to the old school way of doing things.

Bought a scope for my Remington 700. It is a cheap one, but will have to do until I save up enough for a real good one.

Colt 3-5-7 revolver from 1962-63. These ran the same serial number bracket as the Trooper in 357 Magnum but are not to be confused as being the same as the Troopers. The 3-5-7 was Colt's premium 357 Target revolver prior to the Python being released in 1955. Colt continued to make the 3-5-7 along side the Python until it was discontinued in the early 1960's. The exact number made is unknown. They came with service grips and a narrow hammer which this one has or with a wider hammer and target grips in six inch and four inch.
This one's pretty close to new condition.

The three Myerchin knives I ordered came in today, a folder, a fixed blade and a Swiss Army Knife takeoff. I'm 600 miles from the sea so I won't be cutting any rigging, untying knots with the marlinspike or unscrewing shackles. However the knives are very sturdy and the workmanship is excellent; they'd serve as good hunting knives. They'll go into my collection but the little "klondike churchkey' is going to be tried as a replacement for my SAK Tinker. It's a lot smaller, the blade is only 2 inches, but it should do the job.

Default Don't Know What's Wrong With Me...

but the last 5 have not been Smith's. 4 Ruger's & a HI POWER.

I'm gettin' the itch for another Smith though.

I picked these up yesterday. The musket is a 1861 Government (Union) contract gun, meaning it was made by a contractor, Edward Robinson of New York to the specs of the standard 1861 Springfield muskets during the Civil War. There were 22 different contractors making these from 1862-1865. Robinson made 30,000. This one is 58 caliber.

The Mauser is a Persian 98/29 in 8MM. This one was made by the Czechs for the Persians and the action is smooth as silk.

Two most recent purchases are my only shotgun and my only rifle (everything else I own is good old S&W revolvers).
The rifle is a Ruger model 721 in .270.
Shotgun is a 1919 made Winchester model 12 in 12 gauge.

I bought 3 more mags for my 22/45 today. Ran 10 rounds each through them then gave them a lite tune up, ran 20 more rounds through them and called it good for now. All fed without issues. One had trouble latching and dropping free, but is getting better. I'll have to keep an eye on that one. It will be last in rotation unless the problem clears up.
These were new factory mags... had a chance to buy 4 used mags for $8 less each but with no guarantee that they would work. I passed on the deal.

I am awaiting delivery of a RIA Commander model, and a Ruger LC9 that I bought at auction. Both are missing mags, so I ordered 4 for the RIA off GunBroker (only $6 apiece). I'm still shopping for some for the LC9- I haven't found any of those for less than $19 apiece.

I just took out my new Sig P 320 Compact to the range this morning. It functioned 100% with my reloads. It seems like it is getting a little more accurate the more I shoot it. The trigger is also getting better. So far, I only have 150 rounds through it. A little windage sight adjustment and she'll be good to go. I only have 800 rounds or so loaded up, so it looks like I'll be cranking on the ole Dillon some more.

Ugh. I bought a 13-3 with a 3" sight unseen from a pawnshop in another state. It's a gamble, but we'll see how it plays out cause the price is right for the supposed condition - used with goodyear grips.

I picked up a Colt Army Special from the same place, which is how I heard about the S&W. I'm gonna work it over into something semi-fitzed. Not a fan of cutting the trigger guard, but it will get chopped down for sure in other areas.
