Just picked up my S&W Bodyguard from my FFL last night. Need to clean and lube it and go run some ammo through it. With the rebate and PSAs low price ($229 before $50 rebate) I had to. Need another pocket gun anyway. Hope I like it more than the LCP, never cared for it.

I'm not sure they did. See my post in S&W Revolvers, 1961 - 1980: "OK, People, What Do I Have Here?".

I happened upon a use Bianchi Pistol Pocket designed for the compact 3rd Gen 9mm guns. Actually, it just say "9mm S&W", so I took a gamble it wasn't for the full size guns.
It came today and fits perfectly. An under $40.00 holster that works.

I bought my FIL a Henry Big Boy 20" in .41 Magnum.
I'm impressed with the fit and finish, particularly compared to the newer Marlins.
I thought I would hate the brass tube but I actually like it. I haven't loaded it up but it seems to be much easier on the thumb than a stiff loading gate.
I'll probably get one for myself in .44 someday.

A USFA single action in 44 Russian and S&W Special. It is the only USFA I have seen that has CC on the grip frame, ejector rod housing and even the cylinder base pin.

Just bought this S80 9mm Colt with two mags. My neighbor has been mentioning I should come out and try 3 gun, so I was looking for something for that but this jumped out at me. Might still try it with this, but everybody I've talked to says get a CZ. I'm used to being the odd man out so we'll see.
Only thing I'll be doing is removing the ambi safety (and looking for more mags).

Does the 1861 have a shootable bore and if so, are you going to shoot it?

Do you plan on restoring it to functional rifle or just to clean and have a show piece?
I have a 1899 Martini Enfield. It was a Henry that was converted to 303 by the English at some point. They must have re arsenalled it and put it in storage since it like new. Mint bore and just some nicks in the wood. Shoots fantastically

I bought one of the untouched MH MKIV's a year or so ago and had much fun taking it down and getting it ready to shoot. I decided that since the Gahendras were substantially discounted I would give one a try. I plan to get it in shootable condition if I can. We shall see if I actually fire it.
I would love to find one of the .303 MH conversions someday. I still have quite a bit of the older blue box S&B ammo and I also bought a bunch of the HXP when it showed up last year.
For a good "Holy Cow!" moment, look up Gunbroker auction number 662133634.

Picked up my latest TWO acquisitions at my local FFL Friday. Neither came with a magazine, but I was able to pick up good used ones already.
LC9 - $156 + $24 for a magazine - $180 total including taxes shipping and transfer.
RIA 1911-A1 CS - $323 + $30 for two magazines - $353 total including taxes shipping and transfer.
The parkerizing on the RIA is worn, and the Ruger has a little high point wear, but I'm looking forward to my next range trip to try them both out.
I'm gonna have to quit "looking" at guns for a while - for the time being I need to focus on building up my inventory of reloading supplies instead....

60's K-22. Model 17-2. Won on G.B. yesterday. Of course the rubbers will have to go. It will complement my 14-3. Will post more after I get it, and clean it up. Bob

First saw this knife featured in the products section of American Rifleman and had to have it esp. after seeing some of the Youtube videos about it.
It's a Firecraft with a 5" blade made by White River Knife-the ferro stick attached to the sheath is for fire starting-thus the name.
(Just deleted my Photobucket account-don't want to pay for "3rd Party Hosting". Thank you Imgur! )

My latest is a S&W M19-P, made for the Peruvian police in 1987, this is one of the units from the overrun in the AWF range. It is part of the 1068 four inch M19-Ps delivered to Wischo, Germany.

What is the difference between this revolver and a S&W model 13?

Just completed a little flurry of action on the surplus/lower price range, online.
Picked up 2 guns I had been thinking over for awhile, decided if I don't make a move I'd regret it later.
1st one is a Beretta 92S, with the weird magazine release in the base of the grip. My son had been pestering me about one , and the only ones I'd seen locally were both beaten up and overpriced. I glanced the other day and saw some listed at an ok range, so I picked the cleanest one and made my bid. Somebody pushed the price up, but I ended up winning with a couple bucks to spare...
2nd gun is the oddball PHP MV9, a Croatian design made back during the Bosnian war. It's an ugly little sucker, looks like a cross between a Walther P38 and a Beretta 92. Same manufacturer now makes the XD, this was their first design. Prices tend to be low... I always have glanced at it, said "maybe sometime" and moved along.
Now the websites that list them are saying "broken or no grips only", so I figured if I was ever going to get one, I'd better do it now.
Found one listed online for auction, and again, watched as my bid got pushed. I won this one on my maximum bid, I didn't have another penny to spare. But I won
pics to come

Be a little careful with the PHP, at least at first. I had one and when I went to shoot it, it thought it was a Thompson SMG. I changed a few parts in it to cure it of that misconception.

The model 13 has no ejector rod housing, the regular model 19 has adjustable sights.

Thanks for the head's up on that.
In the event I need something, you mentioned "parts"... where'd you find stuff? I see buymilsurp has some things, but none of the usual suspects (numrich, sarco etc) seem to carry anything.

Just got this revolver in yesterday. 640-1. It came with black rubber grips, but I swapped them out with Blue/Black G10 Laminate to match my Benchmade 300-1.

I traded my Kel-Tec KSG for an AR built mostly with Aero Precision parts. The Kel-Tec was actually the last purchase I made. It was a nice weapon but too hard on this old man's neck injury. It kicks pretty good. It would be a great gun to have in a riot situation but I don't expect to be in one of those since I rarely go to any place they might happen.
The AR is pretty dang sweet. I like my S&W M&P 15 Sport AR really well but the one I traded for is likely a better gun in all respects except warranty and service.

Just got a S&W M&P M2.0 in 9mm, nice. To feed it I got 2000 Magtech 115 gr., 1000 Blazer Brass 115 gr rounds, 50 Hornady Crit. Defense and a green laser sight. Then I had to get a magazine loader because arthritis is too bad to load them without. Oh, also got caliber conversion for my Dillon 550, and Carbide dies in 9mm.

I just acquired six Vietnam-Era military issue Checkmate 1911 magazines at an estate sale. At just $5 each I could not pull my wallet out fast enough.

Went into a pawn shop this morning just browsing around and wasting time, looking in the gun display cases, Came home with an HK45, and put a S&W model 65-2 on layaway(hoping to get the model 65 home in a month or so.) .

Saturday was my first gun trip in a while, and I picked up some syuff 1000 rd. case of Federal 556, 55 grain, for $300, a 1000rd case of perfecta 95 grain 380 for $180, traded a lnib weatherby 243 with Vortex glass, even for a Savage 12 VLP DBM in 308
then I bought this old savage pistol for $25

I picked this one up today. It's in good condition for a service pistol. There is significant wear on the grip and the mags were dirty but otherwise good to go. Hardly a scratch on the frame and slide.

Man I nearly ordered one last week. Still might, looks to be still available. I've read some might have some serious barrel wear, so a little hesitant.

Yeah it's a bit sketchy buying a used gun sight unseen. This time it appears to have worked out. I have not fired it yet though!
