I accepted final delivery on this S&W 638-3. Its barrel is pressed in straight. Installed Wilson Combat springs, performed a trigger job, and installed a set of VZ grips. I do not know why it took me so long to buy a J-Frame. I should have done this sooner.

Made a road trip to a not so local gun shop. Worth it I think. Came home with a Maverick 88 Field/Security Combo.
Couldn’t pass up the deal.

Decided to change up my pocket carry gun after an incident at the post office got me thinking about quick draws. Decided to move from a pocket 9 to a hammerless. I have not had good luck with Rugers, but I've been impressed with the LCR's weight and trigger, so decided to pick one up for my pocket. Haven't gotten to the range with it yet, but it feels good in my hand. Not going to be pleasant to shoot, but I didn't get it as a range toy.

Bought, enjoyed, then shot, then sold a 590 shockwave. I'll buy another when they show up dirt cheap used, but until then I snagged a nice posurp 590A1 18.5 inch gun.

I've been a little lax, but some of these have shown up in other threads. In the last month or so:
S&W .38.44 Heavy Duty, 4" barrel (purchased)
20 gauge Mossberg 590 Shockwave (purchased)
Yesterday at the gun show: Traded a 12 gauge Mossberg 590 Marinecote Shockwave and a little cash for a DPMS Oracle AR-15
That 20 gauge Shockwave gave me three, so I got rid of the Marinecote. Since I traded a Beretta Nano and a little cash for the Marinecote, I figure I'm doing pretty good on the DPMS . . .

Found one of those..."How much!?!" deals and asked around about the gun store (had never heard of them before). Got a few forum folks to tell me about them (central FL) and it all sounded legit. So, I'm out $340 but now the proud owner of a BNIB Walther P99c in 9mm. Same manual of arms as my P99AS but shorter barrel and grip (but can take the P99AS full size magazines too).
Put a pair of Meprolight night sights on it and its good to go!

Another case of XM193 from Palmetto. After rebate $249 delivered. Already got three cases. I suppose I should max-out at 8. I'll eventually regret not doing so...

I ordered 800 rounds of CCI .22LR Mini Mag last week and bought a Walther P22 today. Since I live in California I have to wait 10 days to bring the Walther home.

My first M1 Carbine. Standard Products receiver, trigger group, stock and an Uderwood barrel. Stripped, cleaned, lubed, but not shot yet. So while I am very pleased my opinion is guarded.

I've just traded my 640-3 that I loved for a 640-1Pro Series which I found out I love even more. Action is smooth as glass.
The night sights and when I shoot 158gr. .357mag FMJ I get no recoil "bite" in my hand where the 640-3 bit a little and the stupid lock is Gone.

I bought an FEG PA-63/AP9 right after the fall of the iron curtain. Its got the heaviest DA trigger I've ever handled. I'm going to have some time for projects between Christmas and New Years day so I ordered some spring calibration packs from Wolff for it. I'm hoping I can reduce the trigger pull weight to within the human range

I bought a PSA Upper with a 1 in 7 twist rate Stainless Steel barrel in 556. I got it with the bolt carrier group for $249 which is an awesome price. This Barrel twist rate lets me shoot heavier bullets than the 1/9 twist weight more commonly sold.

Been looking for a magazine for an old Soviet-era PA-63. They go for $65-100 used on Gunbroker when you can find them. Not worth that to me. Numrich just bought the remaining stock from the old FEG factory for a ton of parts and they have factory new magazines for this old police pistol for $27! Also got an OEM recoil spring and a lower weight main spring. Pretty stoked to find new OEM parts for this old pistol.

Simmons 22 mag for the Savage Mk-II that Wally-world had on sale this past summer. Just need rings now. Which Academy should have, manana, when I make it into Lake Jackson! Bought this one so I could harass the squirrels in my fruit trees without bothering the neighbors!

I try not to go off-topic, but I just couldn't let this one pass without comment...
"...after an incident at the post office got me thinking about quick draws."
I'm sure I've carried a firearm in a few places where it wouldn't be welcome ... I like to think "no one will ever know unless I need it, and if I need it, maybe I'll at least make it to my trial alive." But there a couple places where I never carry.
As I get older, the likelihood of a personal medical emergency increases. I'd hate to faint in the post office lobby and wake up in the hospital charged with a federal offense. I don't even park on post office property before unholstering and leaving my friend in the car.

I snagged a brand new super 14 10mm contender barrel off GB. Above it is one of my two scoped 357 maximum barrels.
Every factory barrel I own is a joy to shoot. I don't know if it's the platform or the barrel quality but these things really put my other handguns to shame. I don't know if I'm going to put a scope on the 10mm yet, it was shooting just fine without.

Recently I bought a CZ455 American. I enjoy shooting 22 and wanted something a bit lighter than my Wifama wz. I had an extra Nikon 22 scope in the parts box that is now mounted on the 455. I'm converting to another photo hosting sight so I'll post pics when I register on a new site.

Picked up another contender barrel. This one is a 10mm 10" to match my 10mm super 14. I was very impressed with the 10 out of a longer barrel.
It's my understanding these barrels were only made for about three years from 89-92. The barrel came in the original box that someone wrote 11/1/89 on the label.
