Told you the week was still young. The little brown truck just dropped off a care package from Altamont.
2 sets of Santos Rosewood Ropers for SB N frame
1 set of fancy walnut RB N combats. They are from a limited, uncatalogued run.

Haven't been here in a while, Glock 19x, Ruger American 243, Sako Forester heavy bbl 22-250, Kimber Montana 243. In Feb 3rd i had the Widow Maker heart attack. Hmm decision tree time, do i cash in and let non caring folks paw thru my safe or pull thru?
3 stints and i make it. A couple of weeks later i buy a series 70 slide, bbl and all Colt parts on an aftermarket frame. Very nice accurate and reliable 45. I carry it in the truck and Can Am Defender. Leaving my nicer stuff in the safe.
Before the pandemic i ordered 10 boxes of 22-250, 10 243 in 80 gr and 10 243 in 100 gr.

Not very practical, but a classic that conjures images of gamblers and soiled doves in the old West. Dr. Elliot's iconic derringer. This Remington was made sometime between 1888 and 1911. Mechanically sound and most of the fire blue survives in the places it should be. The nickel is in pretty good shape, the bores are nice and the hinges are not cracked. Even came with most of a box of cartridges.
Makes me want to start wearing sleeve garters and a pocket watch.

I just ordered a 14 round magazine for my SW40VE. I would have liked to have gotten a box of SD ammo as well, but the prices are absurd right now.

I have the same length bbl on mine. I loaded a bunch of rounds with the 200 gr round nose flat point bullets. It is a fun shooter.. Also loaded a couple hundred 240 gr SWCs and they seem to shoot a bit higher. but I can hit a 100 yd steel plate pretty regularly

Big month for me. Sold the LMT 308MWS, Ruger Mk IV, Beretta 96, and HK VP9. Bought a used Wilson Combat Brigadier, Beretta 92X, Beretta 92X Centurion, another used 92X Centurion, a Beretta M9A3, and a Clark’s 6.5” barrel with sights for a Smith Model 41. New rule was if you want something new, sell something old.

I acquired a really cute Mossberg 20 gauge this week. It's charming, all camouflaged out, lightweight, 18 inch barrel - perfect for the girlfriend's home defense and, yep, it's hers!
I sent her a picture of it and she called me and said, laughing, "Well, aren't you the romantic little devil??!!".
There's roses and candy but nothing beats a shotgun for a really cool present!

I was walking across the street from a pawn shop when a fellow got out of his P/U with a box of reloading stuff. Asked him what he was doing with them..Said he was gonna pawn them. Looked in the box and asked how much he wanted for the scale in the box. He said 25 bucks. Made a quick purchase before he hit the porn....er...pawn shop. For 25 bucks I got a really nice RCBS 304 scale...best one RCBS ever sold. It balances out perfectly here on the bench. I'll take a pic tomorrow. I was in town going to the pharmacy for my wife's prescription.

I went out in search of a blued, pre-lock 4" Model 19. After visiting six local gun shops to no avail, I got lucky the seventh time around. Walked in looking for one, ended up walking out with two.
And thanks to the classifieds section here and user johnreilly, I now have a set of lovely target grips.

Today at the gun show I did really well. While I did not buy the M-53(it was nice) I did buy 2 S&Ws. I got a Model 66-1 4" that had obviously been used by a police person...the holster was somewhat small...and the other S&W was a nice 4 screw Highway Patrolman but it was a 6 inch. I did really well on it and the next firearm was a Colt Woodsman 22 in overall exc condition. I got it on a trade with some boot money. And Along with a lot of littles I got 5000 Win and CCI SPPs at 16 dollars per M. That is going to make a friend very happy. I seem to have plenty for my own use

A Mossberg 500 Tactical 12 gauge. As soon as the hardware store opens I am going to go buy a can of flat black spray paint and a 8” long cap screw and put a real stock on it, after I paint it.

5 Boxes of Herter's 9mm
Went into Cabela's in Billings today. Just wanted to check the empty shelves I have been told they have and let my wife look at some sale merchandise....Puts the prices about where they should be.. Was standing there looking at the empty handgun ammo racks..There were three(3) boxes of handgun ammo..2 38 supers and a box of 41 mag(fair price on the 41) One of the employees came wheeling a cart out there and so help me he put 8 boxes of 9mm Herters 115 gr FMJs on the rack..priced at 9.99 sign said 5 boxes max...so I bought 5..Guy saw me getting the 9s and said are you going to take 'em all and I pointed the sign out that said 5 box max and told him he better grab 'em while he could...so he did. 2 minutes from stocking to unstocking. I also got a box of plated 158 gr 38/357 bullets for a reasonable price.. A friend who needs 'em will get 2 boxes of the ammo. He just bought a S&W M&P 9mm and had 1/2 box of ammo..Guess I was just holding my mouth right today

Traded my 2” model 15 to a friend for his Ruger .22/.22 mag convertible. My kid was glad.
I linked pic to google photos. Can you see pic when you click on the box? Still figuring it out since I kicked the photo bucket.

Saw in the classifieds a NOS Bianchi 5BHL which fits my K-frame four inch revolvers to perfection. A few weeks later, saw a used Bianchi 10L that is perfect for my four inch 686. Included with the holster were two VHS tapes, one on the 1911 and the other by Jerry Miculek on shooting as well as two extra holsters, a Red Head and a Uncle Mikes. Very very pleased with these two purchases. Sincerely. bruce.

A couple of my most recent finds includes some quality 10mm ammo I picked up yesterday for a 1006 I picked up last week. The 1006 nicely rounds out my 10mm family.
Another is a complete lower for a for an orphaned upper I had sitting around.

Some extra H&K USP magazines in both .40 and .45 and what many would probably consider just a wee bit of ammo to shore up the supplies of pistol ammunition.

Well, it's actually an old stock item that came back to S&W unfired, stored for a long while, re-stamped as used, and re-sold.
This thing has no signs of handling, racking, not even factory test firing.

Picked up a Glock 44 .22 LR a few weeks ago...a very nice shooting...zero issues.
Shortly thereafter bought a threaded barrel which came in yesterday. With the AXIOM suppressor on and GEMTEC .22 subsonic ammo one can hear the bullets hitting the tin cans...

The other day I bought a 1961 Colt Government Model. It has a few blemishes, but is mechanically perfect. I had been looking for a 1911 Classic model, but when I found this old Government I figured I’d buy a true classic.

This belt speed scabbard by Ritchie Leather Company and I've been very pleased with it.
It's proving to be an excellent holster, very well designed, nicely made, comfortable and highly concealable, and I'm ordering another for my M&P .40 full size.

Saw this thread and stopped to think. Last Saturday at local gun show, picked up a very nice model 64 3". Could not believe the prices they wanted for Glocks. Drove directly to LGS and picked up a blue label Glock 17 gen 5. Same week ordered a case of 40 caliber and 200 rounds of 40 HST for my now month old CHP 4006. Did I mention my Springfield AR to replace a Armalite I promised to a friend?

Red tape is finished for the little Mauser.
It's now, finally, in the company of it's slightly older and bigger sister.
