Mauser had been ordered to produce the new P.38 pistol. After some "negotiation" it was agreed that the required number of Parabellum pistols would be "diverted" from Whermarcht delivery(they would instead receive the newly P.38 pistol from Mauser) and sent to Portugal. They were "normal" German P.08 pistols, the only "tell tale" sign was that they were byf 42 pistols with seriall numbers in beteween 200 and 5500 and in the "m" suffix letter.
Meet P.08 byf 42 # 1834 m. Complete with Portuguese service holster(I already have one of those ) and tools.
Edit. Note. Those are not the original grip panels in the picture. I already have the originals. the original owner offered them to me a few years ago because he didn't care much for them and had bought the wooden ones pictured.

Very nice. Saw an American Eagle 9mm with an artillery-length barrel the other day. The guy simply wanted a value estimate. I couldn't talk him into selling it to me.

Yesterday I sold a whole bunch of reloading stuff and factory ammo to a fellow and partial payment for it all was a really nice Marlin pre safety 444 rifle. Even has a nice receiver sight. I didn't sell any 444 ammo though. Really pretty gun that looks new.

Nothing major. I've been wanting to carry my 1911, but I wanted a better holster than the cheap Uncle Mike's nylon IWB I have. I want to get a Kramer IWB#3, but between not having enough money for one right now and the est. 3-month wait when I do, I got an inexpensive kydex IWB holster from Concealment Express as a temporary option 'til I can get the Kramer. So far it's been satisfactory.
Also got a mag pouch from Bladetech, though I did order a nice leather mag pouch from TT Gunleather.

I found a Ruger Old Army on GB at a price I could live with. It will arrive tomorrow.
Since winning that, I have ordered .457 round balls, conical bullets, grips, new 30-35-40 grain spouts for my flask, 3/16 nipple wrench, and new nipples. In other words, buying the gun is just the beginning, it is the accessories that send you to the poor house.
Here it is with the new grips, I already had the holster, left over from a 7.5" Blackhawk that I sold some time ago:

Updated with pics
There are a lot of people around the area who know I buy small to large lots of shooting stuff, so today I got a call. Went to look at what they had and I got lots of what I call littles 10 boxes of Buckshot a couple of Ruger mags...a 2nd set of Checkered walnut Ruger grip panels(hoping they would fit my Ruger Mark I)a few hundred primers a couple pounds of CFE 223 powder and a few other things including a few rounds of 223 9mm 38 357 41 mag 45 auto and 45 Colt factory ammo for a VERY good price. all said and done I think I did good...and the grip panels for the Ruger fit my gun. The first ones I got didn't quite fit Pics later. momma has to get on a zoom meeting. Got the pics loaded(I think) and the Ruger is an after changing the grip panels. It had a scope mount with a red dot type sight on it. And I got something else I didn't even know was made...a Hornady case annealing kit with the tempilaq. Learn something new every day

ATI MilSport 9mm Carbine
I had a very expensive pistol on consignment at my LGS which the owner had assured me was definitely sold, just waiting funds. Went by the shop yesterday after getting back from an enjoyable ten days at the beach just to see what was happening, and Jeff told me we needed to settle up on the pistol.
He had just received an ATI MilSport 9mm Carbine. Uses Glock magazines, and I was sold when my Glock 26 magazine fit perfectly. Came to a number I was happy with pretty quickly (I never really haggle with Jeff. I know he shoots me his best price, and I either buy or I don't), and I was out the door with a carbine and $1,400 cash. I had been looking for a 9mm carbine since I sold my KelTec, which I liked, but didn't love, and this fit the bill for now.
American Rifleman did a a test/review when they first came out in 2016, and it performed very well.

I just ordered a Brand New Smith & Wesson M&P40 Shield 1.0 Performance Center online for $360!
There was a Clearance Sale on it, and they only had two in stock, so I jumped on it! It's got a ported slide/barrel, tritium night sights, and a PC tuned trigger.

Hit the sportsman’s warehouse just in time to participate in the primer feeding frenzy. Almost lost an arm.

I picked up my new M&P40 Shield Performance Center about an hour ago. Unfortunately, it's too dark to take a really good picture, but here's a preview. I'll take some better pics in the future.

While out still hoping to find a hi-cap striker fired 45 I stumbled upon something else that in the last few years has became another weakness for me.
Inside a pocket holster this 10+1 9 easily drops inside my back pocket.
The single integrated dot sight system works well and allowing for the fair amount of recoil allows quick follow up shots.
I'll have to see how well I'll do with with magazine changes with no protruding slide release on the SAS model.
After 50+ rounds of 115gr ball and a few 115gr JHP through it I'm quite happy with the accuracy and surprised with its easily managed recoil.
Overall, I really like it.

Picked up this gem yesterday. It’s a Winchester 1873 Trapper with curly maple stock, 16” barrel in 45 Colt. Number 157 of 300 produced for CDNN. Definitely an impulse buy - too pretty to leave behind.

Curious if your maple Winchester going to be a shooter?
I've been eyeing the 92's for a while.

I picked up a brand new 4" service model XD9 at a local shop yesterday. This one came in a cardboard box, 2 mags and a zippered pouch with the Springfield Armory stamp on it. No XD gear, but I like this model and finding a new one was a plus.
Also, I looked around for extra mags. Two places I looked at had XD mags on sale, Gunmagwarehouse had the best price, $12.99 for 16rd mags.I ordered 2, they charged me $4.99 shipping.

Six TRESO brass nipples for my Pietta 1851 Colt clone, size 11. Since all the primers I've found in a year were a bulk buy of 2,500 German RWS #11 imports, now I don't have to pinch them to stay on. Adds some bling to the brass-framed, blued revolver, as well.

Kramer Handgun Leather currently quotes a 10-13 week delivery time. I used some of my stimulus money to order an IWB#3 for my 1911 two weeks ago, figuring I wouldn't get it 'til sometime in March or April. Well, look what came in the mail today!

500 Berry's 9mm 115 gr and 500 38/357 158 gr bullets and 2 pounds of CFE pistol, a lb of CFE 223 and a can of Varget...all at reasonable normal prices. Surprised the Varget was on the shelf. I also commited to buying a Savage M-10 bolt gun in 223..Package gun with Nikon 3-9 x 40.. Pick it up on Friday...oh it does have the Walnut ( or walnut finished) stock...not plastic..yippee. Also picked up another FEG 9mm Browning clone new in box and don't know why Gotta stop buying some of this stuff...but components are a must buy in today's climate. I may just keep that FEG

Went out looking for a Smith .22 inspired by an earlier topic. Didn’t find anything in .22LR so I settled for a Model 48-4 8” in .22 mag made in 1982. Traded two pistols I seldom shot, a Beretta 92F and a Mak IJ-70. The scope mount looks like a no drill. I plan to dump it and the Leupold M8 4x and find the correct iron sights for it. Is there anything I need to know to assure getting sights that fit this model?

I picked up a 2nd Star Modelo Super, with barrels for both 9x19 parabellum and 9x23 Largo.
The latest is the one one the left. I've shot both guns in both calibers, it never hurts to have options.

Bought another S&W in 32-20 last night Needs a cleaning but think it may have the original stocks...I hope...but for what I paid(325) it IS a geat buy and the fellow gave me a box of ammo too... I also bought something usually out of my comfort zone... Got a Bushnell Holosight for a whole 10 bucks ...turned on and it was dim Put a new battery in and it works like it should...And it was Made in the USA. Don't know what I am going to put it on though but for 10 bucks??
