Another CMP auction pickup, a 1943 Springfield M-1 Garand. The electro penciled “O-66” shows it was with the Marine Corps for at least part of it’s life.

Found a couple pounds of Reloader 17. $45 per pound is a little steep for powder, but I haven’t seen 17 around here in over a year. It’ll last me a loooong time. The gentleman ahead of me picked up the last pound of 23 and 26.

Just picked up my latest grail gun, a 4" S&W Model 547. Took it to the range and the groups at 10 yards were amazing.

Actually got a S&W
Bid in a local online auction and got a whole bunch of reloading items some loose ammo and the nice S&W Pre 17 K-22 . Paid a bit much for it at 575 but for a 5 screw gun it is pretty clean. Looks like it had a bit of cold blue at the end of the bbl. It came in a poorly fitting Hunter holster. Got a box of littles with one of the flat plastic cases for ammo with the 9mm ammo and a really nice set of Colt 1911 Gold Cup grips. 4 or 5 sets of dies...including a set of New RCBS for the pre safety 444 Marlin I have. I did watch primers sell for as much as 225 per thousand and powder holy Toledo some went for over 100 bucks a pound I thinkand 22 ammo. People ARE crazy. I have to post in the ammo forum about some of the ammo in the auction

A 500 round brick of 22 shorts, because I didn't have any, and haven't seen it in years. Rats and raccoons in my trash cans, watch out.

Stopped by the LGS yesterday and 30 minutes later strolled back out with a Mossberg Maverick 88 20 gauge and a Plano case. Picked up a sling and some mounts for it today.

My latest firearm purchase is a Model 58. I won't post a photo of it here because there is already a thread with a picture of it in another subforum.

My last was a pawn shop find for less than $200. for a old Sears and Roebuck TK out the door. I have plenty of 22 rifles but these days anything less than $200 is a deal. Refinished the stock and took it apart cleaned it and put a new recoil spring in it.

I picked up a very nice U.S. Post Office holster the other day that fits J-frames. Here is a picture of it. I also picked up a early Centennial recently, so I will show both.

Drank the kool-Aid , bought a Glock.
I was a little light on Autos and 9mm,
Bought a Glock 43x.
Going crazy buying 9mm ammo.
I bought the Glock out on base, they have a pretty good inventory of handguns, almost no ammo.
No 9 at the BX, so I bought some 223. Close enough!

Whats your latest purchase? "guns/accesories"
Well, I have been good for awhile, not because I wanted to but because the local shops have dried up and our local gun trading sight has been overrun with nothing but scammers. It used to be a great place for like minded folks to trade and buy, but not anymore. I have been jonesing for a M1 carbine but with no luck, so instead I went and got some magazines instead to truly commit me to getting that carbine.

I picked up a Bul Cherokee 9mm Compact. It's a 2009 model and looks very similar to the E.A.A. Witness, but this gun is made in Israel.
It's a CZ clone and can use 16rd CZ mags.
There's been alot of the new ones in stores lately. This one has a few differences but mostly just cosmetic.

Byrna HD pepper ball pistol. Their proprietary balls are a mix of OC and CS. Nasty stuff. I don’t recommend it for home defense, but settling the misunderstandings I am often dealt, it’s the bee’s knees . . .

Also bought a Model 28-2 with 4" barrel:

Picked this West German Sig P226 up over the weekend, along with a Mec Gar P226 X5 magazine. The mag isn't ideal, it doesn't even really fit in the case, but I thought it looked good with the two tone slide/frame combo.

I’ve been looking for a while, usually see brass with no load gate. Steel with load gate finally popped up on an in stock notification...they only had one.

I picked this up today. I own and have owned some pretty sweet custom accurized 1911's in my time. This one is right up there with any for precision and quality. I've never really been much of a Ruger fan, but they really hit this one out of the park! I got about 50 rounds through it today without any problems. Some were my coated 185 gr. SWC loads and some were some old Remington 185 gr. JHP factory ammo. When I really took my time, it was no trouble keeping rounds within 3" at 25 yds. while standing/ unsupported. The steel frame and checkered front strap and mainspring housing made the pistol easy to control (no shifting in the hand).

These count as accessories in my neighborhood. Lucchese boots with cactus, longhorn skulls and star inlays. Made to order, so I got to pick the heel and toe that I wanted.

Went to the LGS to pick up my brand new 8" Colt Anaconda, left with a H&K P7 PSP instead, with original box, two magazines, and a IWB holster. I love my revolvers Smith and Wesson (or Colt), but I love my handguns German. Pictured below with my recently acquired Walther P5, and West German P226. Need a P6 now to round out the group.

Just purchased a Blacklist 9mm fluted barrel for the M&P. Looks good and is accurate as can be. Not as much "slop" in the barrel as with the original. So, Talon Grips and a new barrel. Sexy as hell! Good times.

Got my Taylor's & Co. SA in .38-40 WCF, 4 3/4" barrel. It had the 3 click hammer which I dislike, so I ordered the old style Uberti 4 click hammer and installed it today. Now it sounds like a single action should when cocking the hammer.
