My latest acquisition is the Springfield Armory Saint 556 pistol. I opted for the PDW brace as a replacement for the stock brace, simple mbus on back with a laser on front for now and ordering the Echo Binary II trigger, should be a lot of fun at the range once I get the triggers swapped.

This Python was sold by a fellow member on another forum who lives just a couple miles from where I grew up in NY. I'm a Floridian now so it's being shipped down here to warmer climes. Your cost estimate was spot on which I considered an excellent deal considering its age, condition, and barrel size.

I was being conservative, these bring closer to 2,500 and easily more in that condition! What a score brother, makes me wanna cry. Enjoy, but don't wear too much bluing off fondling it! lol

I had been trying to slowly reduce my "accumulation" of firearms, but when opportunity presents itself I have to take advantage of it.

This S&W 32 Hand Ejector Mod 30-1, NIB, just sort of fell in my lap so it had to come home to join it's close relatives.

Then a week ago at an auction a S&W "E" Series 1911, NIB, was selling so low I just couldn't let anyone else get it so cheap, I bid and no one upped it.

The disease is awful.

Took advantage of the MA tax free weekend to buy a Springfield XD-E in 9mm. I won't be able to pick it up until early next week, but I'm interested to see how well it shoots.

Picked up a Vortex Viper 6.5x20 mil-dot scope. Mounted it on my T/C Compass in 6.5 Creedmoor. Club I belong to has a multi-discipline facility, including a 1000yd range.

For those of you who aren't familar with the Compass, you need to look closely at them. May be a budget rifle, but they can shoot. With proper loads, and a decent shooter 1/2 moa @100yds is quite doable.

It just happened to be sitting on the bottom shelf of my little Vermont LGS, in his display case all alone between rows of plastic fantasticks and a couple of alloy revolvers with neon colored pink and green grips. I had been following a few Mark IVs on GunBroker and watching Hickok45 and 22Plinkster YouTubes about them into the wee hours of the morning for a few weeks (that's my usual prepurchase routine as I ramp up to take the plunge) and had only stopped in to inquire about the possibility of ordering a Mark IV Competition model. I honestly did not expect to see one in that shop. The Ruger sign in the window drew me in. So...while I found mine totally by accident, they are out there.

While I think I would have preferred the iron front sight on the Competition model over the hi-vis sight of the Hunter, and despite being right handed, I preferred the Hunter's more symmetrical stock grips over the Competition's stock grips with the left side thumb rest. Each Model of the Mark IV had a detail I wanted and a detail that detracted. That was my dilemma (talk about luxury problems!), but I think adding a red dot sometime in the future will make the larger front sight of the Hunter a moot point at the distances I like to use a target pistol.

Finally found a p365 Sig for less than retail......I have shelved the Glock 26. I also picked up this shooter grade Trooper MK III which I ditched the rubber grips for these nice old school looking ones.

FourtyOneitus struck again....found a Freedom Arms 97 5.5" with black Micarta grips on GB with a price too low to pass up...it will be an identical match to the .22/.22 Mag I have...

I wonder if this is covered by Medicare....

On a more on topic note, I entered the "Grip Zone" and bought a Springfield XDE in 9mm. Nice gun. Won't become my EDC when I'm on my home turf, but will be a gun that I can take with me out of state and not worry too much if something happens.

Been wanting to get back to some rifle medium to long range shooting. The 6.5 Creedmore has had my attention since its inception. Finally just went and got one....The Bergara B14 HMR.
Brought it home, cleaned it up, put a 4.5-14 Leupold on it. Will be looking forward to next weekend when I can get it broke in.
First impressions: Best factory trigger on a bolt gun I've ever owned; very smooth bolt throw; don't particularly like the removable magazine, but can live with it. Love the adjustable stock features.

I bought a box of .380 Auto for my son's new duty back-up gun, a SIG Sauer P232 and also paid for his gun. It is a nice gun in excellent condition with three factory mags but a little large and heavy in today's market. Next to his girlfriend's G42 for size comparison.

Latest purchase is what I consider a guilty pleasure. Original owner at gun show had a 95% model 59 with original box and 1 mag. Made an offer which he turned down. Caught him again as he was leaving and he accepted my original offer. Took it to range and was amazed at the single action trigger. DA was heavy so he must have used SA most of the time. I have so many good 9's I must decide whether to keep it. It goes to OGCA his weekend so we'll see.

That just made me think. I bought a new pickup a few weeks ago. Nobody checked to see if I had been in an accident or had multiple DUI's or other criminal record, even though that truck has a lot more potential for misuse. I know...just preaching to the choir. Got a Mossberg made 24" rifled slug barrel with rifle sights for a Remington 870 tactical I inherited from my nephews estate. Didn't need another short barrelled shotgun and thought a slug specific gun might be interesting. Now to shoot it!! I like 870s, that is it second from top.

I've been wanting one of these for a while, but they're pricey and kind of hard to come by - CZ 75 Kadet 2 conversion unit - here pictured on my CZ-75B. It requires a little bit of hand fitting with a needle file, but no major problems. I haven't had a chance to fire it yet, but it cycles dummy rounds without a problem, and all of the controls work like they're supposed to.

Not to be a wet rag, but when I think of buying something - I think about the stuff I have that I'm not using. I recently cleaned up my Lyman lubrisizer, filled it with fresh lube, and mounted it to my workbench. Then I sized, lubed and gas checked some 44 and 22 caliber lead bullets for my 44 Mag and 22 Hornet Contender barrels. The 44 Mag is going deer hunting with me in November. The Hornet is for squirrels and varmints in the local river bottoms. My next project will be shooting some of those 22 boolits out of my Tikka bolt-action 223.

Have been wanting a Colt Commander SS in 45 acp for many moons. Yesterday an ad in a local gun forum had one and what he wanted for a trade I happened to have two of. Even swap and everyone's happy. Took it apart, cleaned, lubed and went to the range. Shoots just like I figured it would.
