That .40 S&W Shield is popular with fly fishermen in NE Georgia due to size, weight, and power. Give it a try.

I bought a 1,000 of Matt's Bullets, 500 wadcutters for my 25-5 and Henry 45 Colts, and 500 mixed WC & SWC's for loading my 32-20 Marlin and model 631 32 mag. Already have primer & powder. Oh, and I bought 3 more factory 11 rd mags for my "new-to-me" 4046.
I gotta get busy before Spring arrives so I can shoot them up and get more. Probably take that giant leap into PC bullets next time.

Just bought 2 Liberty Fatboy 48 XL gun safes. The old saying decide what size safe you need and double it is very true. This is my second and third liberty safe.

A drop dead mint 33 and a mint model 10. The 10 is now a safe queen but I couldn't stand the pressure and shot the 33.

Two AR-15 20 round magazines by R Guns; $2.99 each. This was a bargain, as both appear to have an entire can of Rustoleum black paint applied to them. Weatherproof and they work.

Just picked up a Browning Hi Power for $475 + tax. Dropped it off at the gunsmith to have it dovetailed and a factory front post sight installed to replace the blade front sight. It already had VZ thin grips. This one was from Herstal Belgium; not assembled in Portugal, if that even makes a difference.

I got two grips, an excellent set of older S&W M41 grips and a very goofed up Hammerli 208 grip, that had been sanded down and had very poorly executed stippling on it. I decided to salvage the Hammerli grips by cutting and sanding them, filling the hole for the hand rest in with the wood that I cut off and restipple them. They are useable and fit my hand at least now.

I just picked up an API serial numbered Bren Ten. API stands for American Pistol Institute which was owned by Jeff Cooper. It was the forerunner of Gunsite.
The API serial numbered Brens were only sold to associates of Cooper's and some of his friends who were gunwriters. The serial number looks like a birthdate but I have not determined whose.
There was probably less that 6 of these API pistols sold.

Depending of the year it was made, they were all assembled in Portugal.

Bought a Mossbert MC1sc last week. Nice little gun. Shoots well so far. It doesn't seem to like S&B 124gr FMJ range fodder, but shoots Fiocchi 124gr JHP prefectly. That or maybe 124g Hydra-Shock will be the SD ammo.

Back again. Gun show Sat. 1950 three digit serial k 22 in very nice condition only spot on barrel tip. Didn't even haggle. Fired very little No marks on recoil shield. 700. out the door. Left there and found another in a gun shop, 1951 probably 90%. Stole it for 495. Boy some times I am the blind squirrel .

I’m glad you are at least trying one. I don’t own one, but O like these guns. They seemed to be disparaged immediately after introduction and I haven’t seen much about them since.

So far I like it. Still trying to find the right range ammo for it. It's going to be close to 60 today, so I'll hit the range again.
Tough job, but someone has to do it!

Put an Erma 22LR Luger on layaway today.
I already have a 1921 DM in 9mm and a Stoeger in 22LR, but the Little Erma was all steel and so cool I just couldn't resist.
I'll post some pics after I get to bring it home.

I just bought and installed a low-profile magwell for my HK VP9. It's kind of small and really doesn't make a noticeable improvement in the speed of mag insertion, but it makes a huge improvement in the grip (which was already good).
