Picked up a 469 and a Ruger Bisley .44 Magnum.

I'll post pics in the appropriate forum at some point this weekend.

For when I get to make my escape to a free state that allows its citizens to bear arms outside the home
Sig Sauer P365 SAS 9mm 10 round double stack magazine.

(photo from the Sig Sauer website)

It presently sits in permit-to-purchase-purgatory at my local FFL. You don't know what permit-to-purchase-purgatory is? You don't live in New Jersey. Good news is that it used to take 6 months for a permit to purchase to issue, but the wait is now supposedly in the neighborhood of the 30 day maximum allowed by New Jersey law. Bad news is, no matter what happens it's still New Jersey. Then it takes another 3 days for the NICS check to clear the New Jersey State Police. Also, they still require two references, but they no longer send a letter to your supervisor at work asking if they have a problem with you getting a handgun.

Government meddling in our second amendment rights is how I lost a nice M57. Can you just apply for the permit ahead of time for just in case you find something you like?
I'm frequently delayed with the NICS check sometime only for an hour. My FFL said I could apply for a PIN number and it would avoid that delay. I'ver never heard of it but will look into it.

Just bought this BUL 9mm 1911. I needed a softer shooting gun for my arthritic hands. have not shot it yet but trigger seems very nice and fit and finish is superb. I added a set of Fusion thin cocobolo grips.

I recently picked up a Galco Combat Master model cm126 for my 625-8 PC N frame revolver, and I’m very pleased to be able to carry an N frame comfortably concealed under a dark colored tee shirt.

I thought my big bore magnum days were behind me. My hands don't have the strength nor can they take the punishment I put them through over the years.

I ran across this Super RedHawk and the old flame reignited.

Whats your latest purchase? "guns/accessories"-red-2-jpg

This is the first one I've had in several years. Most of my others were battleship grey too. It has different markings and a crown I don't recall on any of my previous SRH's.

I know I can lighten the load to make it less punishing, but why have a Casull sized weapon and not get the performance?

May change my mind after a cylinder or three. Nah!

Just found this beauty at my honey hole in Reno. 1961 4” Python. Came with factory grips, some pachs and these replicas. Pairs nicely with the 6” I picked up last week. Traded it for the 1977 GCNM I got last week.

I picked this up from the original owner Monday. 4 5/8" BlackHawk.

He said that I had been the last one to shoot it 15 or more years ago.

I'd been looking for a 41 Mag for a while and was hesitant to even ask about his because he not one to get rid of anything.

Not too crazy about it being drilled & tapped, but I'm no collector. Just wanted one like the first one I ever owned.

Proud to have it!

200 round sample pack of Missouri Bullets 240gr .430 hard cast, coated, TCFP, 18 Brinell. Perfect for some 44Mag, or some "warm" 44Spl for my GP100 and my Vaqueros. Also a 100 round box of Hornady 158gr XTP. Interesting that the hollow point is more traditional, not like the cup in their 125, 140, and 180gr XTP's.

I found a first generation Glock 17L with factory ported barrel. Apparently they only made about a thousand of them.

It is correctly called UPIN and you can apply for it. Read the below info:

It is time to start getting the first Christmas presents prepared and this old Mauser C96 still needs a little work and new grips. I have an original German wooden holster for it that is non matching and a little darkened by fire, it was most likely pulled out of one of the many bombed and burnt out buildings.

For some reason, my youngest son wants a C96 very, very much but it is a little too expensive for a young cop to buy.

I am retiring, and I plan on doing a lot more informal small game hunting.

Many public hunting areas around here limit you to shotguns. Most of my hunting will be squirrels, with some rabbit, dove, turkey, etc. thrown in for good measure. Figured this little Rock Island Arsenal 20 gauge would make a good beater gun to keep in the car and have available for woods bumming expeditions. For $109 I thought "what the heck?".
It shoots slugs just fine so I might use it for deer this year instead of a handgun.

Dipping my toes into the collectors pool, I picked up this S&W Model 17-2, serial numbered the very end of 1965. Unrelieved target stocks that are not serial number marked would not have been original to the gun since they went out of use in '57 or '58.

CAI imported MKE (Turkish made on HK tooling) MP5 with a SB Tactical HKPDW brace. $2219 out the door. Then added a Holosun 507C.

Found a 4” 2020 Python at this weekend’s Vegas show; I put on the Nills grips I recently found at the Reno show. Fit, finish and function meet or exceed my expectations, but she still lacks the je ne sais quois of a classic Python. That said, I wish all Pythons had a wider trigger without serrations.

I don't usually buy new guns, but since I have never seen a used one, I grabbed a 43c a few weeks ago. I was looking for something lightweight in the pocket for around the house.
Shoots the good stuff fine, struggles to go off with the bulk pack ammo. You'd think for 7 bills it would handle just about everything...
I'm on the fence. With Mini-Mags, it does what I bought it for. I definitely over-paid, though. There are cheaper options, but I'm a Smith guy, and it fits a lot of my holsters, and makes a great little brother to my 442.

Thanks!

Don’t think that works will with stainless steel, but black nitriding has crossed my mind.

Got the frame Cerakoted on the 1911...and since everything else was ODG, put green grips on the Beretta.

And the Glock...I know you guys love the Glocks.

Default Advantage Arms 1911-.22 Conversion Unit (target version)

This has recently come into my possession. This one is branded STI but it's manufactured by Advantage Arms. It seems to shoot quite nicely. These are not as refined as a Marvel or a Nelson, but it's also substantially cheaper. It seems to run just fine with standard velocity ammunition. It's mounted to my worked over Norinco M1911-A1 lower.

Thankfully, here in Maine when we want a gun we just buy it and bring it home.
