I have one with a Leupold shotgun scope mounted on it. I really like it and it's an accurate gun. I shot one big doe with it and she didn't go far but that was the only time I've hunted with it.
They come apart easy for cleaning and seem to be well built as well.

I like my Omega. I use Barnes bullets, backed up 100 grains of Triple 7 Triple, F {FFFG} powder; but do not go over 100 grains with the Triple 7 FFFG powder

I love my Omega. I have taken a deer each year. Like the poster above I have a Leupold shotgun scope and it and its all I need or use for hunting whitetails.
I am interested in what loads everyone uses. I use 100 grns of Shockey's Yukon Gold over a 250 Powerbelt.

The wife and myself both use one, she shoots 80gr. of 2f goex black and 245 gr. powerbelt. i use 90gr. 2f goex black and 295 gr. powerbelt. both have 3x9 nikon monarch scopes with leupold QR bases and rings. you would do well to use the QR mounting sys. they work like a dream and helps with cleanup. 4 years and 7 deer between us, she's one up on me. shots from 40yds to 145yds so there is no problem accuracy, 3 shot groups at 1 1/2 inchs at 100yds. have been hunting with black power before we had a black power season. i love my hawkens but can't see the sights. go with a stainless/laminated and don't shoot over a 100grs. of black or 90grs. triple 7. good luck jim

I've had mine for 4 years. First year all I took with it was paper. Last 3 year I have taken a total of 7 does and 1 buck. Longest shot was a lazered 205 yrds using a 240 gr XTP 44 cal HP in a pistol (Short petals) sabot over 150 gr Triple 7 (Three Pellets) over 15 gr of Goex FFG, ignited with a Winchester 209 primer.
I've shot mine with anywhere from 75 gr up to 190 gr of Pyrodex, Triple 7 and Goex FFG and mixes of two and three of the afore mentioned. I found the magic formula for mine is 150 gr Triple 7. I add a "Gun Rubber" to the end of the barrel when it's raining. With 150 gr of Triple 7 I get sub MOA. With the same load plus the gun rubber I get 1.25 MOA, both well within the kill range of whitetail deer.
Mine is the blued/syn model and is scoped with a Nikon Monarch 3-9 x 32. I keep it waxed with an old tub of Turtle Wax Paste Wax to help with the water repellancy.

Like Brian, I have a Leupold shotgun scope on mine. Been using Blackhorn in mine with TC Sabots. Amazing accuracy. Deer go down quickly, coyotes drop in their tracks.

I like "Harvester" plastic sabot's {which are easier to load}, for the Barnes bullets. I use a Busnell Elite 4200 with a 1.5 X 4 power, for whitetails out East.
I use Winchester 209 muzzleloading primers, which I've heard should not be over 6 months old. I also use duct tape to cover the muzzle of my barrel while deer hunting, but never duct tape the muzzle of a shotgun --- for it might burst upon firing.
