I got a Ruger American Rifle...
I "accidently" won a Ruger American Rifle in 30-06 on GB yesterday. Anyone has one of these maybe? What are the pros and cons?
Because we don't like hunting I think it makes a great target rifle. Just a good scope and it should be ready to go.
Wife is not sooo happy but I guess I could calm her down a lil bit last night

Too bad you don't like to hunt....that's what that rifle was designed for . I like to hunt sooooo if you get tired of it you can send it to me.

Yeah, I know right. But I put my price in several hours before the auction ends. Nobody else was bidding, so I guess I was just the lucky one...
Thank you 427mach1 for the link.

I looked at the link and to tell ya the truth, that doesn't look like a bad rifle at all and at that price it could be a real sleeper.

Right, I have the same opinion. And I paid even less for it...

Ruger has apparently at long last figured out that consumers won't tolerate ****** triggers and indifferent rifle barrels, and is evidently cleaning up their act. This new offering appears to address both issues, at a very attractive price. Good on 'em!

Accidently?
JJEH,
Ithink we are going to have to have a little talk about your shopping while intoxicated.
Take it from me, its not always a good thing.
