Default Forget them Pythons

Go with a Lawman III. Talk about a real sweet trigger for both single or double action. Completely forgot about how good they shoot till I took mine out today. Going to have to pick up a Trooper to go along with the Lawman III.

I too am a fan of the Lawman MK111. One of the last Colt da's that can be found at decent prices, for now anyway. Here's my 1976 snub.

My brother had a lawman or a trooper it had a 6" barrel with the ejector shroud. I was a nice looking colt.

I have a Python, a Diamondback and a Peacemaker. In all honesty, I enjoy shooting the Peacemaker the most.

The Mk III design was a low cost revolver. IMO it utterly lacks the style and panache of the older I and E frames. I find the action not even remotely as smooth. It feels like what it is...a lost cost replacement.

I've had 3 Mk IIIs over the years. A 22, a 357 and a 38. Sold them all quickly. Actually, I gave away the 22. Simply didn't care for them.

But I realize these comments will be meaningless to those who have already decided the Mk III is equal to the Python. Reminds me of the folks arguing the 28 is every bit as good...if not better than a 27. Ugh.
