My first 91/30 Mosin
Picked this up today. 1928 Izhvesk 91/30. It's even older than some of the members here.
It joins my 1944 Izhvesk M38 & 1953 Polish M44 carbines.
It's counterbored but the rifling is strong like bull, Komrads. Hope I'm in this kinda shape when I'm 84.

NICE ONE! I have one as well, and they are very underrated as shooters and make great knockabout rifles. Enjoy it! Dale

The 1928 date makes it a Dragoon rifle that was rebuilt to 91/30 standard at a later date.

You can actually find 1960-70 dated Finn M39's that are built on pre-1898 Mosin receivers and thus qualify as "no FFL required" antiques. I've got a 1944 SAKO M39 of that variety.

I've seen US-made Remington and New Eggland Westinghouse actions rebuilt by the Finns with VKT barrels.
