Ruger's "Take Action Now!" for contacting your Representatives
God Bless Ruger Company.
Take a minute to e-mail a letter to ALL your representatives with just one e-mail. Ruger has made it super easy. Took me about a minute.
Ruger - Take Action Now!

I feel if the antis see this is somehow connected to a manufacturer you will be summarily dismissed as a shill for the industry?

I have posted this link over on the SIG Forum.
I wonder what our Politicians getting several MILLION e mails could do for us? Can't hurt.

Be careful. I thing this is just a ploy to get you to the Ruger Website. Do not under any circumstances look at the New models otherwise you will suddenly find several new guns that you didn't know until now that you needed

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember that Ruger did everything they could to sandbag Colt's ARs when the Clinton ban was proposed. Very short sighted of them IMO.

Never heard that. What's the source on that information?
Our gun rights are on the table here, and our future will be decided in the next couple of weeks and months. I simply am posting a link so members who are concerned about their gun rights can voice their opinions to all there reps in one sweep.
If you have an issue with a certain gun manufacturer than maybe you should start a new post on that issue alone.

Do you think that by submitting such a letter ( the NRA says to contact all our Reps) that somewhere off in Washington (Alices Restaurant ) they will accumulate all these peoples names and they (us) will be first on the list should they decide on some drastic measures??
I am a bit paranoid putting my name on any kind of poll, survey, letter that groups me in some demographic and is sent to the Govt.
No, I do not wear a tin foil (actually it's aluminum) hat but think back to the McCarthy days.????

Rule3. Don't you think they already know your a gun owner? You get gun mail to your home, your federal forms are already out there on ATF records, fingerprint cards. etc along with about 10 more ways the government would know you own a gun. There are no secrets in todays society, sorry.

swilli41 and moosedog, it was never Ruger the company, it was Bill Ruger the individual who controlled the company. When he passed away, Ruger's new ownership started getting REALLY pro-2A; at first I think to compensate for Bill Ruger and then (and now) out of a genuine concern for our rights.

Bill Ruger is guilty as charged, he also backed the 1994 magazine ban. He is deceased now and hopefully his ideas died with him.

Bill Ruger, a first class jerk who sold out the legal gun owner.
He was filmed on television news with Tom Brokaw and said:
"No honest man needs more "than ten rounds in any gun," and "I never meant for simple civilians to have my twenty- or thirty-round mags or my folding stock."
and then said: "I see nothing wrong with waiting periods."
This TV interview was used (with Bill Ruger's written permission) over and over again to rub our faces in the fact that "even a gun manufacturer thinks gun control is good."

They did when Bill Ruger died. As I understand it, Bill Ruger ran the company with little to no input from anyone else and when he died, things changed VERY dramatically. There's a reason you can buy all sorts of LEO goodies from Ruger now and even prior to the AWB, you couldn't.

This was easier than going direct to my Congressman and Reps, which I already did.
Thanks for the link.

It was Bill Ruger who flat out owned the place that said he didn't see any reason for hi-cap magazines for the unwashed masses.
It was also S&W ownership who agreed to Clinton's policy in 2000 to build internal locks into their guns, take ballistic fingerprint cartridges of each gun they built and supply them with the gun when shipped 'cause all the bad guys were gonna be caught by the new technology.
It was 'I hate S&W' time' then.
That seems to have been forgiven if not forgotten here..
Ownerships have changed as have policys.
It's not the time to squabble over what used to be.
JMHO
FWIW,,Clinton used Executive Order to ban importation of A/W in '98 and again in '01 to ban A/'pistols'.
That '01 order also resulted in the enhanced FFL licensing requirements. So what's happening now has previous history from the W/House and will be sure to be pointed out when and if that is the way it is done.

This may be a bad news letter for me. Wouldn't take my
information, as the diagnostic stated, "We can't find any
representatives for you."
I've been getting that feeling a lot, lately.

I own no guns. Any 4473 form is still at the gun shop, when I got my CCW I wore gloves when printed. But we had a big garage sale nothing left, the few that did not sell I turned in for cash for guns program,

Did it. I hope some of the recipients at least count the number of e-mails they get. Wish a few other of our gun companies would do something like this (hint, hint).

I sent in mine. I am taking print outs up to the LGS and posting them up there for others to see and hopefully send in.
Was watching video from the Shot Show and Ruger has a booth set up with PC's so people can send them from there.
At least I know one of Florida Senators is on our side.(hope I can say that )
