Default Marlin 1936 in .30-30

I have a line on two different Marlin 1936 rifles in .30-30. Both are all original, have the full length mag tubes and both are in good to excellent condition and function perfectly. What are these guns going for? The prices on both are very reasonable and I have always like the Marlin lever being a bit slicker than some of the Winchesters I have owned over the years. Also, where does one find parts for these? I heard the 1936 rifles (both have 1936 on the tang) take all the same parts as the Model 93. Are parts readily available in case something does ever break?

Not much changes in the parts inside between the Model 1893, 93, 1936, and the Model 36,
Stock shape, sights, bbl configurations, straight grip lever, pistol grip,,,things like that changed to keep up with marketing appeal.
They are all the same old square bolt rifle action for the 30-30 family of cartridges.
IIRC even the bbl thread stayed the same.
The 336 was the first real change in overall internal design with the round bolt action, clip over extractor, coil main spring, ect..

Parts are out there. You have to search a little for them but just like Winchesters, so called vintage parts are available.
I can't think of anything that is caliber specific in the series like there are for the 1894's,,but there may be.
Simple strong actions. Not a lot goes wrong with them.

Main springs break occasionaly just like any others. The extractors and it's flat spring attached can break when disassembled from the bolt if you're not careful. But that's not something that's normally done for cleaning anyway.

I've got a 30-30 SRC to re-assemble now. A parts gun that to tell you the truth I can't even recall which Model it is. I think it's a '93, they all look the same inside and out pretty much.
I have to modify a Winchester SRC butt plate to fit the wood. The only thing missing from the Box-o-Parts was the plate.
Of course Marlin SRC butt plates are scarce, but some welding will take care of it. Wish I hadn't got rid of the 38-55 SRC bbl I had at one time..
