My Cimarron .45 colt
Just bought this Cimarron Uberti build .45 colt revolver.
Take it to the range yesterday. It works very well with nitro loads. Next time I gonna use blackpowder.
Aldo the revolver is produced by Uberti there are a few different things comparing with a normal Uberti Cattleman.
The Hammer of the Cimarron has the Original Colt shape and misses the safetyblock on the Uberti. The cilinder ax is longer and culd push true to block the hammer. I do not like the sight of the longer ax but it is a nice well made revolver overal. In Holland you do not see Cimarron often.
It is only Uberti what you can buy. No idear how it landed here. But I am happy with it.
The pictures could be better. The light was not that good. The background should be white.

I've had several Cimarrons. In my opinion, best of the clones.

Have on in 38/357 and one in 45 Colt. Yes the cylinder pin is long and can be used a hammer block safety. During Cowboy Action shoots, I have had the pin reseat itself to the rear about 1 mm. Just enough to keep the firing pin from hitting a full strike on the primer. I have retired these revolvers until I can find cylinder pins that won't creep foreward. Ivan

I've seen that one at the LGS. With the cross inlaid on the grip they call that model the "Holy Smoker". I like it!

I had a shorty with a birdshead gripframe and a spare ACP cylinder.
A friend has a pretty one.
Nice guns.

I've been looking recently at adding a 'cowboy' gun to the stable. Still not sure what but I have had a sudden urge to "make it so".

I'm not into "cowboy" guns but I'm getting the itch. Uberti makes one that caught my eye, I think it is called the El Patron.
I have a Schofield from Uberti that I love.
Isn't the snake or the cross grips one that Clint Eastwood carried in a movie?

I take the "longish" safety cylinder pin and grind it down to a safe length that allows the weapon to function and permanently ends the problem of failing to fire.
I have owned a bunch of Uberti Colt/Remington/S&W clones. No matter who makes them they often require a little tweaking to make them work. Some of them were good out of the box.
I do not like Cimarron's "customer service" because they really don't have any................

That 5 1/2" I showed above? The first time I took it out the ejector housing flew off the barrel. Sent it back and they fixed it.

Question to me. Yes it is a copy of the Man with No name gun. It is stylish and fun to shoot. It should be a longer barrel if you want the exact copy of the gun in the movie though.

It realy catch your eye. The crosses in my Chimarron are placed by the former owner. You can buy them loose. I do think that counts for the snakes to.
