Default Gerber Applegate - Fairbairn lockblade folding knives

Any other fans here of Gerber's Applegate-Fairbairn one-hand openers? I have all three sizes and love them, but I think I had to have a custom shop hone the blades of the two larger sizes. I KNOW I got Bailey Bradshaw to sharpen the big Combat Folder.

That was years ago, and Gerber may now supply them sharp.

Any fans here? Can any of you post photos?

I think they're very well designed. A Gerber rep told me that they're quite popular among US troops in Afghanistan.

On YouTube, Nuttin'Fancy went on at some length about carrying his in a pouch on a combat vest. And he had a custom shop hone the upper bevel, too, for a double-edged blade. But that makes it illegal for most of us, so don't try that at home, kids, unless you know it won't violate local knife laws. I think he's a USAF pilot, so he may be able to claim the knife is for official use and evade some ordinances.
