Good choice, now don't cut yourself opening and closing the blade.
So who wins the apple slice?

Great little knife. One of my sons gave me one for Christmas a few years back. They hold an edge real well and I'm always impressed by the slick way it opens. Of course, it doesn't take much to impress me.
Congrats on the new acquisition.

Great choice, I've been carrying this black one for 8 years now and it does hold an edge extremely well.

I've never been a fan of the half serrated blade. I couldn't find a reason to need it and it makes the sharpening a pain.
That said, I'm a recent Ken Onion fan myself and am sitting here with my new "Swindle" in my pocket. He just gets the proportions right on the knives and has an eye for flow.
I own more expensive knives made with higher quality steel, but it's hard to find better artistic design than almost any Ken Onion without tripping into the really high end(expensive) market.

I've found that 3" or below OAL in the blade to be far more useful for EDC chores that anything tacti-kewl that is larger.
Good choice.

Got the same knife without the serrated blade. Loved it, then lost it. I just got another one from Amazon.com. Now I LOVE it and will take even better care of this new one!

I mostly use the tip of the blade for cutting open boxes and such so the serrations aren't really in the way...and I like it's seat belt cutting utility...and small branches...

Nice choice Sip. Haven't seen one, but I'm going to see if it will replace my old standby Gerber.

Being a collector of antique folders with bone or ivory handles, these steel handled knives stir little interest to me. Realizing I needed a rough, tough, indestructible knife for heavy use that would damage my antique Case tested bone handled knife I carry daily, I studied many of these steel sided knives. I as well purchased a Leak and another one, one size larger. I still cant make myself carry it but it looks good in the knife case.

It is the elegant simplicity of the Leek that appeals to me. I rotate the knives that I carry; the Leek is one of my two or three favorites. The other two are Benchmades. But the Leek is the only one that ever drew the comment: "That is a really expensive knife." It's not, of course; not cheap by any means, but still not expensive.

Great knife. I like mine, but it is a bit thin in the tip for my for the EDC jobs I find myself doing at work.
Mostly I'm carrying my Benchmade Griptilian for that.
But the Leek, hoo boy is it sharp.

All of these years I have not had a EDC knife. I bought this Benchmade HK 14850 Epidemic double-action out-the-front switchblade many months ago and I have not had one day that I have not carried it. I have learned that a knife makes your life a little easier. I can't believe it took me sooooo long to catch on to this.

I have heard those are nice knives and Kershaw makes a decent knife. May have to take a look (like I need another knife, if I get another one my wife may stab me in the head with it).
