Colt price question!
1975 Colt python 6" blued, faint turn line, 1 mark by cyl latch, w/Colt box & papers, $2950
So as TO NOT violate forum rules there is nothing posted above that identifies the seller or the location/source.
With that said could someone on here that knows a bit about Colts please tell me what if anything justifies the price asked?

Nope. Way too high. For that price it should include a pkp to drive to the range. BTW I have one just like that except from the custom shop. If someone offered me that kind of money for it it would be gone in a skinny minute.

Yikes I thought it was too high by at least $1,000. I saw two in the last couple months in the 15-16 range at LGS in my extended area I just missed getting a rather decent $1500 Python by about 3 minuits.

As long as people are buying for that price, people will continue selling it for that price...

A year ago January, I was selling my Glocks and ARs for ridiculous prices and buying Colt and S&W revolvers for low prices since they weren't moving at the LGS. Wait for the next panic buying spree.

It could easily and reasonably go for $1,000. Maybe a tad more. That is way beyond the pale.

From What I am seeing is that the ones who bought high during the Panic are now trying to unload for what they have in them....Oh Well...What can I say free market....However I agree with the 1000 to 1500 mark...saw one at a gun show in Mesquite Texas couple months ago for $900 ...if I had the money would have bought it

I can't justify the price, but if it did not sell........it will. Colt Python prices with box have gone outta sight in a relatively short time!

Could be a loooooooong time.
FWIW I just looked where it was posted and it’s still there. He has in his ad Fixed Price. If it did not say that I MIGHT have called the number and said is that price right or did you miss type a 2 for a 1.

My local dealer would have a price close to that one most likely.
Now, what they would sell it for, I don't know. I've never made an offer on something like that, but when they get them, they don't hang around long.

There between lately from $2,500 to $3,000 and maybe higher for a pristine one. I been eyeing a nickel python for $2k. I worry if it's priced lower something maybe wrong with it.
