For that price, you need at least one. I bought one for the same price a couple of years ago, but got only one mag. The mags themselves are about $40 apiece. P220s are very accurate, and have nice triggers. The only thing is that the bore axis is higher than a 1911, so if that's what you're used to there may be some learning curve. But I really like mine, and that's a sweet price.

For a few $$ you can send to Sig and they will overhaul it. Replace parts and clean. So for $500 or so you have a like new $220 w 3 mags. need any more encouragement?

I was thinking the same as far as the price and the three mags made it an even better deal. I had not thought of sending it back to SIG, so I may do that as well. Here is the other side. I picked through several and this one displayed less outside barrel wear and less overall wear as well. I'll pick it up tomorrow. Here is a picture of the other side.

A grate price. I gave $450 for a 20 year old one owner 220 4 mags holster box papers target and I thought I did well. It has a good deal of holster wear.

Go slow my friend, A few year's ago there were a bunch of Sig 220's that were returned by I believe the Saginaw Sheriff Dept. that were junk and I believe they got sold to the public. They would not feed and had a bunch of issues , Unless I had a chance to shoot the gun first hand I'd pass.

I'm certain these didn't come form the Saginaw Sheriff Dept. My LGS has a no return, as is policy on used guns.

I'd see if I could cherry pick a nice one and buy it! I had an early import from Browning, their BDA ,AKA as the P-220 great pistol.

My p220 is a Browning labeled Sig Sauer from way back. Shoots like it cost a bundle. Love it carry in a Filson Bag between vehicles. Wk

Buy 4 pistols and get 12 magazines for $1600. Sell 3 pistols with 9 magazines for $500 each and you've just picked up a Sig P220 with 3 mags for $100. Although I'd be tempted to only sell 2...or maybe just one...or maybe keep them all for the "kids" and "grandkids"...

awww hell - buy 5.

That's a great price for what you are getting.

I bought mt first 220 used over 20 years ago for $400. Spent a little less a few years later for my second. I picked up a 245 (now called the 220 compact) about 6 years later. Still have all 3 and in cold weather CCW 2 at once to show it can be done easily. If I'll be standing or walking I enjoy a Galco, 'Small Of the Back' holster for a very fast draw but out of the way holster. You don't sweep yourself like with a Middle Of the Back" will. Mine shoot Federal 230 Hydro-shok to the sights. I used to do 3" groups at 20 yards, before.... well before I don't any more! Ivan

I got this one on my Dad's FFL when I was still in the FBI Academy in 1991. I got to my first office, took it out of the box, fired a fifty round qualification course, reloaded my mags, holstered up, and have carried it ever since. It has seen me through some tight scrapes and has never let me down on the range.

I remember it cost $533 back then, because I took a whopping pay cut going from an Air Force captain to a GS-10 with a little baby and this new thing called a "mortgage". No more base housing. It was by far the most money I had ever paid for a gun. My wife, bless her heart, didn't ask the obvious question: Don't they give you a gun?

$400 with two mags seems like a square deal IMO. Some honest wear on it means you won't have to baby it like you would tend to do if you paid retail for one.

Just understand that if you buy it, you will soon start eyeballing SIG .22 rimfire conversion units, P226s, P239s, German Police trade-in P6s...

Good luck

I purchased a lightly used German 220 eight years ago for $600. Beautiful handgun, nothing fancy, and extremely accurate. At the height of the panic in 2013, I sold it for $1,100 at the LGS. I miss the 220, but the $ was too much to pass up. I can vouch for the German 220's quality and shootability.
