Thumbs up Sleepers..............OP

I think these are really overlooked.

The longer barrel puts it in balance....the four inch looks a bit clunky to my eye.

Just bought this on GB for $255......seems like a super deal to

me...

Good snag! One of those that in a few years, no one will believe that's all you paid.

I seen these along with the s&w of the same time frame for sale for a long time but that changed very quickly as the prices went higher.

My online dealer had like 8 revolvers in 22lr in colt and s&w to choose from for a while too. Now they sell as fast as he posts them.

You got an awesome deal there.

I have a colt officers target model revolver that's built on the heavier 41 Frame. I'm not sure what letter the frame is. It's the biggest revolver in 22lr I have held so far.

The colt police positive revolver in 22lr doesn't quite feel comfortable in my hands. Seeing this after I purchased it turned me away from buying the police positive in 38 special.

I have been into the h&r revolvers in 22lr because there so affordable. I'm interested in the h&r and h&a revolvers in 38 s&w, 32 s&w but I'm not sure how good they are.

After buying my s&w k22 and the colt officers target model these two are probably the top revolvers in 22lr.

Good deal.

I wanted a 5" OP but wound up with this 4" off Gunbroker for $175 about 4 years ago. Paid $185 for the ivories maybe 2 years back.

When I shot on a college pistol team, ca 1955, at 50 feet indoors with 22s, one of my teammates had a Colt Officers' Model 22. It was wonderfully accurate. Once, when my Hi Standard was back at Hamden for a few months to have something fixed, he let me shoot it. I did some double action work, and was getting to the point where I could keep all ten shots on the paper (not necessarily in the scoring rings) when I got my Hi Standard back. It was some pistol.

IMO, visually the 5" is the best looking of the bunch. I agree on the 4" looking a bit "clunky", but the 6" looks off to me. I may also be biased, though, since mine is a 4" it's what I'm use to looking at.

I'm still keeping my eyes open for a nice Officers Model in 38 special. I've looked at several, but have had trouble finding one in the "right" condition(i.e. not perfect but also not beat to heck or badly reblued).

I find it hard not to like these medium frame Colt revolvers.
