Easy my modified series 70 Colt Gold Cup. Bought it new in mid 70s! Carried it for many years as a CCW, though it started out as a target only gun but to be blunt Bulls Eye shooting bored the heck out of me. Then I modded it for PPC and our clubs version of Combat Shooting.

Very dependable, accurate gun and its more than just my favorite non Smith, It is the most favorite Handgun I own.

I love my 1911 too, but this new Ruger LC9s I just got has one of the best triggers I have ever felt. My now CCW.

I'm thinking my Mark I Bull Barrel Liberty Gun.

Come to think of it, that's also my FIRST semi-auto. Bought it, used, in '80.

I've owned a couple 1911's that just weren't reliable. Saving up to give a Model 70 Colt a shot.

Until something comes along better, nothing has been more reliable & accurate than my Springfield Armory XD's. They may not be the prettiest, but for function & reliability, they are hard to beat.

I've got several series 70 Colts and a few other brands and they are all reliable, but for looks it would be the combat commander

Colt Delta Elite, same 1911 design. I also wish I had kept my Para Ordnance P13, a double stack Commander design.

Toss up....my HP is my sweetest shooter but the 1911's history gives me a tingle when I shoot it.

1911. My current one is a Sig Tradional (meaning it fits a normal holster). Accurate, reliable, and, well, a 1911.

I don't own any 1911's, so I have to say my first s/a: Ruger Mark II.

I like my 1911s, but if limited to only one pistol...

It would likely be one from this table.

1936 Browning HiPower for 9mm or out of production Springfield Compact .45

Both are super accurate and carry very easily.

I do not carry it often, due to the size, but I will always own a Beretta.

This one is just cool.

left-Glock 36 compact .45 for CCW.
Right-Glock 21 full size .45 for the night stand and for the road.

Thousands of round through them both with no problems. They are both accurate and low maintenance. I like 'em and I trust 'em.

I also have the 17 which is a full size 9mm and the 23 which is a mid size .40 and they are both excellent with thousands of round with no problems (over 22,000 round between the 4 of them) but when it's time to get serious I'm a .45 kinda guy. The others are just plinkers for me.

Colt 1911 MKIV Series 70 and my 1911 Sig Ultra Compact, both in .45 ACP. The Sig Ultra has taken over first place with me because I practice with it more and CC it.

I would have to say my Sig 226. I am able to convert it to 22LR, 9mm & 40 S&W. A fourth caliber could be .357 SIG, but I need another barrel to accomplish that.

The 226 is my normal carry option when on RSO duty at our club.

I've owned a number that I liked, and don't own anything but revolvers now, but I liked a G19 and G22, both 2nd generation, especially well. I'd love to own another G19 of that vintage.

But then there was that beautiful pre-B CZ75...

Mea maxima culpa, I've never owned a 1911 or even shot one.

It would have to be my Kimber Ultra CDP 1911 3 inch. It carries well and shoots better than I figured a 3 inch 1911 would.

I will never sell my S&W's. The pistol that I look forward to shooting the most is (don't hate me) my Taurus PT 1911 w/walnut grips. Forgive me brothers for I have sinned.

1. High Standard Victor. My first 22 and the one I learned to shoot with.
2. AMT Hardballer. When I was shooting IPSC people would either scoff or give me pitying looks. After I repeatedly placed in the top three or four and won several matches.......

This one is just cool.
Those H&K P7's are more than cool...small, accurate and a joy to shoot...However if one carries a P7 in my opinion that should be all he carries and is proficient with...do to strange and unique grip cocker and trigger..

I really like my Tanfoglio 45acp Witness and it has a 22LR conversion kit that makes it a great all around usable handgun. The ergonomics are just right for me with my 'smallish' hands. My favorite for CCW is my Colt Combat Commander in 38 Super. Conceals just fine and really has a punch at the business end. I have a 22LR conversion kit for it too. I shoot both semis about 50% of the time with the 22LR kit installed. ............. Big Cholla

You know, I gotta' say I just don't relate S&W to auto pistols,
For Old School me, S&W are wheel guns...period.

Favorite auto's, I, like many others here have several 1911's,
and a currently purchased Colt Commander (pic) is my new favorite. The other would have to be my Colt 2nd generation Woodsman "Match Target" 6"

I have two, my Colt Goldcup 70 series and my Kimber Ultra . One for competition, one for carry.

My CZ75 9mm's shoot very well, as does my Clark heavy long slide .45, and my Browning GP nine. The Sig isn't bad, and the Glocks are surprisingly accurate given their reliability. My High Standards reign supreme for .22's however.

One deadly accurate compact pistol, my Springfield EMP 9MM.

Pure range enjoyment, the Ruger MKIII Hunter with Swift 2X scope and Volquartsen muzzle brake.

I liked my HK P7 PSP so much I bought a second P7 for my son. Both are commercial models, not ex German LE pistols.
