Default Thompson Center customer service has been a nightmare for me.

Smith & Wesson customer service has been a nightmare for me.

I sent my Thompson Center pistol scope to Smith and Wesson as instructed by their customer service for repair. But 2 weeks after receiving my scope, they informed me that they no longer repaired this scope. They checked their inventory and after another 3 months had passed, they informed me that they did not have any replacement scopes in inventory and that they had discontinued this scope. Now they are telling me that they will not repair, replace, or even return my scope to me.

Thompson Center customer service was always so-so in my experience. Even when they were still independently owned. Their scopes, of course, are made out-of-house by what ever overseas supplier gives them the lowest bid. Surprised they'd even ask you to send it back to repair. What are they gonna do, ship it to Asia on a slow boat? They have no facilities to repair a scope.

They won't return your property? That's just criminal. Call them and tell them you will start with the Secretary of State in their state and file a complaint. The Better business bureau is next, and if you have a lawyer willing to send them a threatening letter for little or no fee it would help. You might also look up the president of the company and ask if he condones the actions of his employee before you complain to the secretary of states office. Chances are he'll toss you a scope rather than deal with an elected official asking embarrassing questions. I wouldn't stand for this ****.

I filed a complaint with the Central & Western MA BBB. The BBB consultant who worked with me made a good effort to understand the issues involved in my complaint and helped to explore a variety of possible ways to resolve my complaint with Smith & Wesson. But the BBB just closed my case unresolved. The BBB has no enforcement powers.

If you want your scope back I simply would tell them to return it or you will report them to the PD in their area that they stole it.
