I'm with ladyT...I want a 10mm revolver.
Seems anything with a short barrel, as far as revolvers go, is at a premium and sought after.
Mountain Guns, especially .45 ACP and .41 Mag seem scarce.
Semi-Autos? Who knows. If it is not a 1911 or BHP, I'm not interested.

I don't have a clue what the latest fad gun is. I did see a really nice M94 Winchester in .32 caliber yesterday. The guy was asking $1000, and it was in darn nice condition. I need to look at it again and take along my booklet with serials and dates. In handguns, I'm not buying any plastic guns. Sorry. And I don't even like 10mm guns. I've got a stable of .41 magnums, even a factory engraved and a Scandium. They'll just have to do. I haven't seen a new revolver I even was interested in for a few years now.
Its not that I can't or won't afford one, they just don't make any I want. They did, but it was a while back. Even before the stupid lock, MIM, or the barrel pin they saved money by leaving out. I go to all the gunshows, ready willing and able to buy. I just don't see anything that really interests me. I think they call this malaise.

The only gun I want right now is a CZ 82. That doesn't mean much, though, because I don't have the money to buy one. Ask again when I have some dough.

deanodog, I agree there must me quite a demand for the Winchester and Marlin .357 carbines. I routinely see .44 and .45LC lever action carbines, but rarely a .357, other than the occasional Rossi...

Whatever gun you are looking for! Geesh that wasn't too hard to figure out....
It seems that whenever I start looking for a gun, the things disappear. I can't find one so I decide to buy something else instead. Usually a little while later I find the original gun. I know that I am not the only one that has this happen.

I hear Sig is going to come out with a 10mm semiauto in good old fashion steel. Another gun I would like is a 41mag lever action rifle.

Everybody around here is clamoring for one of those plastic see through Taurus revolvers. For close to $600 they can't keep them in stock. Mine is currently in the shop to have the window tinted.

I don't know what's in highest demand now, but I can sure tell that AR-15s have run their course again. CDNN can barely get the prices low enough to sell all the liquidating inventory. If you plan to buy one at LGS negotiate on price!!

2 new offerings:
- S&W 929.
- The new PC ported M&Ps will probably do quite well too.

My son got a new S&W AR15 sporter for $530 shipped (plus $15 for his FFL). I told him that he couldn't get hurt at that price.
I also told him that it would be a long time before he could sell it at a profit too as it seems like every swinging stick and his brother already have one.

I was at my LGS the other day and the autos were selling like they were for free. Plastic of course. The 380's.
I was trying to ask what's the latest trend right now is it plastic.
The lady T had the answer with 10mm.
I won't even talk about a Winchester 32. I was at a yard sale and seen it for $275. Never listen to the misses.

This is a corollary of the rule we all learned in high school or college: "Whenever you are dating someone, every other girl you ever wanted to go out with is available, but the moment you break up, every other girl you ever wanted to go out with is now dating and in a committed relationship."

If you want to know what's really in demand you have to look beyond
the gun fraternity. An article in the American Rifleman a few years
ago said that .25 acp autos outsell all other caliber autos combined.
I remember seeing tables at gun shows completely covered by .25
autos NIB for less than $50. Always plenty of people looking them over.

Man, ain't that the truth. I'll admit that three quarters of the handguns on my Want List are used... and the majority of them have got to come in at $500 or less or forget about it.
This seems to be a common theme among everyone I talk with lately, especially when it comes to advice about anything you are trying to sell. $500 or less and there is still a decent market. Above $500 and it better be a damn nice & desirable gun or you better be very lucky.

Anything concealable, it seems, or "tactical."
Lever guns have had a bit of a resurgence lately.
I'm likely putting a nice used 649 on layaway today. It's a new production with the IL and MIM but I doubt my trigger finger or targets care. It will get "Plugged," so that's no thing.
I have been lusting after them lately and had one just show up on me.
The wife, I'm sure, is sick of hearing "one more."

Cz75b's in 9mm seem to be in short supply here in southern California. I ordered one and waited four months for it a couple of years ago and my buddy waited almost a year for his. The Cz75b in .40 caliber seem to be much more readily available however.

For new revolvers, I think it's the 642.
There are threads on the forum almost every day that go: "I just bought a 642 and need info about:" ammo, holsters, how to shoot it, grips, etc.
