I would think that if you could get it for under six you would be doing well. I recently sold a 41 RH with 7-1/4" barrel and Hogue monogrip to a gunshop for six, and the owner told me he would put it into the display case at $795. (I think that is way too high...) The 5-1/2" RHs are slightly more desirable than the longer barrel version, from what I have been told...

Last week I bought a used 1981 vintage 7 1/2 incher "new in box" for $545.00 and thought that was top dollar for central Pa. By the way it's not "new in box" anymore.

I saw a 5 1/2" stainless listed in the classified ads of a Ruger forum
for $700 a few days ago. That seems to be about the typical asking
price. I've got one I bought new back in the early 80s when the rear
sight body was steel. At some point Ruger changed it to aluminum
like the Blackhawks.

I paid $475.00 for a used one with out a box last winter here in Ohio. The gun is well used, but that's fine with me because it still that way.

I got $475 for a trade in. It was brand new without the box. I inherited it and had two so I traded it in on an m14 which cost me $375 otd.
He listed my red for $699 it sold quick.

So hopefully next Thursday I'll be posting maybe one or two photo's

Looks like next Thursday will be expensive -- maybe even bought it early. And it will be yours.

Seems like 5.5" barrels + the price.
