Ruger LCP vs Kahr PW380 for pocket carry
The little LCP has become a major part of my carry routine on short trips to the store and I was wondering if anyone has the PW380 for a pocket carry? I am considering trading the LCP off but I'd like to hear from anyone with experience with the little Kahr before making the change.

No experience with the Kahr .380, though I did once own a Kahr .40 that was less than reliable. I always have my LCP in my pocket when I leave the house. Actually fits comfortably in the pocket, rounded contours, reliable, accurate enough, and a long stroke DA trigger that minimizes the chance of accidental discharges - Perfect pocket pistol, in my opinion.

What Larry said.
LCP, don't leave home without it.

I carry the LCP on every short trip out the door. I guess the grass isn't always greener. I guess this is one of those want need things. I needed a pocket carry pistol, I wanted the P380 thinking it would be so much better because of the sights and locking slide feature on the last round.

I sold my LCP after the purchase of my Kahr P380 and have never regretted it. My P380 functions flawlessly with all ammo I have tried (I think 5 different) except Fiocchi. IMHO the Kahr sights are superior and I like the slide hold open when empty. The trigger on the Kahr is a significantly longer pull than the LCP and the reset is much longer. I like them both and as the saying goes "Pay you money and take your choice."

I use my LCP for deep concealment (pocket, ankle) only when mode of dress requires (business causal, suit, etc.). Reliable weapon. Have about 1000 rounds through it, no problems. But as you've probably already found out, its NOT a range gun; after a few mags it gets brutal to shoot

Never shot the Kahr. If its not a J 38, its the LCP. Sometimes the LCP is more convenient like in the front pocket of my motorcycle jacket. Or in my right rear pocket with a pocket holster, or in an ankle holster.
If I am using an ankle holster, the 637 is what I usually carry. Its like wearing a watch.
My LCP has never missed a beat. It is what it is, I feel better carrying a 38. Everything is a compromise.

I'm a Kahr fan. I've carried a PM9 for 12 years, and have an MK9 that I like just as much. I purchased a new CW380 several months ago. It's proven to be flawless in function and performance with several brands of both FMJ and JHP ammunition. I liked it so much, I recently purchased a P380 that is shaping up to be just as reliable. Since the acquisition of the P380, my son has laid claim to the CW380. To be fair, I have never owned or had the opportunity to fire an LCP.

Have a gen 1 LCP and it worked fine, but never cared for it's recoil or it's sights. Have not tried a gen 2, but understand they are better than the gen 1. I picked up a cw380 and it's has been working great for me. It has better sights and with it's locked-breach design I think it makes for better felt recoil. At this point my LCP does not get much use. I don't carry any 380 very often and when I do it's more often in a bug capacity or when situations require the deepest of concealment. I continue to prefer a 9mm or better for primary carry duty.
