I own a KT Sub 2K, 40 cal, Glock mag's..Since I own a G22, which the subby uses, it was a no brainer..The subby folds in half to 16 inches and weighs 4 lbs, it is accurate , at least for me to 100 yds..

I thought they used Glock mags?

OK so going by their website the SUB can be configured for Glock 22, 23, Beretta 96, S&W 4006 or Sig P226 mags. So make sure you're buying the S&W 4006 and not the M&P which takes different mags. The 4006 holds 11

From the Kel-Tec website: The .40 SUB-2000 can be configured in the following magazine types: GLK22, GLK23, BERETTA96, S&W4006, SIG226.

It's an interesting concept. It's small enough to store in a briefcase, the center console of some cars, or other relatively small areas. It shoots fairly well and is fairly accurate although Kel-Tec had some problems with the front sight being canted to one side. I think they may have fixed the front sight issue but you might end up with a "new old stock" gun and, if you do, Kel-Tec has been good about fixing it.

I ended up with a bruised cheek when shooting it because, to get a good sight picture, you need to rest your cheek on the metal tube extending to the butt stock. That could be easily solved with some padding on the tube. I was able to regularly hit an 8" steel plate at 100 yards off a rickety rest so, at least from my perspective, it had reasonable accuracy. There were zero reliability issues (i.e. FTF, FTE, etc.) in about 300 rounds.

You ask if it's worth it. Well, it's not terribly expensive. It seems to be relatively well made for a plastic gun. It's an interesting design and engineering. It seems to be relatively accurate and reliable. It has interchangeable magazines with popular pistols. Some would consider it a toy or a novelty. Others would say it's a good bug-out or zombie gun or some other semi-rational explanation for owning one. In reality I suspect most of the firearms we own are used for leisure and are not necessary (don't tell our wives)? So, I would say it's worth it.

If you check out my pic, you will notice I put a 1" extension on the butt as well as adding a pad made out of a flip flop sandal..

As afar as the Glock 23 and Glock 19 models, KT did nothing more than "chop" the grip about 1/2" to accommodate the shorter magazine..The standard model grip is short enough as it is, but you can " chop" it yourself with a Dremel, some have done it..

Nice little gun, I have its predecessor the Sub 40, an aluminum model that they started with but deemed too expensive.

Yes, make sure the model you get uses the mags you are wanting, mine uses the glock 22 mags and is a good match for my glock.

They make a buffer tube pad that you can buy, and a new player in the game is making a WAY better butt pad (the gun itself seems a bit short) see my pics.

Oh, to answer your question... DO IT..you will like it.

After all, how many rifles can you fit in the saddlebag of your Harley?

I have a 9mm KT Sub-2K that takes G19 mags. I love it! It's a great little carbine. I can fit it in my old Samsonite briefcase, with a 17 round mag in the grip and another in the butt-stock mag holder, and my Glock 19 w/2 mags, plus about 6 x 33 round mags. Of course, if the mags are loaded, it gets a bit heavy.

I like the notion of it fitting into saddle bags as well.

I got one a few years back in the 9mm Glock (G17) configuration. I thought about getting the G19 configuration, but I would have needed to use Pearce Pinky extensions on all my mags.

As mentioned already, it's a good little plinking rifle. I got it as a 'back seat' rifle. It's very easy to deploy, very accurate and uses the extended 31 round mags (if I wanted to).
I think it was worth buying.

Very handy little piece. It fits into most briefcases and easily into a Camelbak HAWG.

I've always wanted one. I haven't seen one at any of the local gun stores in years. Low supply, high demand.
