Default ATI .45

A friend wanted a 1911 for SD from ATI that was being sold new for something just over $300. I immediately thought 'Saturday Night Special", but I looked them up and they got very favorable reviews so I told him what I found out and he bought it and was satisfied with it. Today I worked it over (without actually shooting it) and I'll have to say I was IMPRESSED. Very solid, crisp and smooth. No detectable flaws. The only thing I noticed were the the plastic grips looked like...well.. plastic grips, but they were well made and fitted and looked like they would hold up well, but maybe not take abuse. I could be wrong because plastic is some tough
stuff nowadays. Anyway, I've avoided big calbers for economical reasons, but now I want one of these.

PS: They are made in the Philippines.

Pretty sure its a re-badged Rock Island Armory 1911. Very nice 1911's for the money.

The ATI FX-45 series 1911 style pistols are made by the 'other' Philippines 1911 manufacturer...Shooter's Armaments or some-such...not a rebranded Rock Island.

I bought a cool little ATI FX-45 Titan LW...which is a lot of name for a 3" 'Officer's' size pistol. Really a great shooting/working pistol.

I bought an ATI Titan about three years ago without knowing anything about them and have been extremely pleased with it. It feeds anything I put in it and is as accurate as I am.
